REFRESHING OF FIRST AID INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

FOR SYNTHETIC RUBBER INDONESIA SECURITY TEAM

Overview
As we have known that accidents and emergency situations could happen anywhere and anytime.
Therefore, preparation with adequate first aid knowledge is important for facing emergency situations.
The treatment in first few minutes or gold time period established the result of patient condition either
of life and death or permanent disability of the victim.
First Aid intermediate level is a complete first aid basic training. The training emphasizes the
participant's competency to react to emergency situations, to diagnose quickly and appropriately. The
topics are Basic Life Support, Injured trauma management, medical emergencies condition, and
Medical evacuation.
Goals
 Providing basic first aid knowledge, understanding and skills on emergency management.
 Giving the basic concept and procedures of emergency situations, so the participants are able
to recognize an emergency situations earlier in the plant and have the confidence to give the
first aid to the victims.
 Participants are able to recognize life-threatening situations in cardiovascular and traumatic
emergency patients.
Results
 Participants are able to know the causes of stop breathing and cardiac arrest.
 Able to demonstrate physical examination to victims on emergency situations.
 Able to demonstrate CPR techniques.
 Able to demonstrate airway management of respiratory tract obstruction due to foreign bodies.
 Able to demonstrate bleeding wound dressing and fixation of bone fracture.
