This is to certify that Ms. Sonali Jain, a student of 4th year B.L.S /L.L.B. (Mumbai
University) has worked as an intern at SB Partners Advocates and Solicitors at the
Mumbai office, from February 06, 2018 to February 28, 2018.

During the course of her internship, she has worked on various assignments, including
the following, where she:

1. Assisted in updating the RERA Manual for the state of Haryana.

2. Researched and prepared a synopsis on case laws pertaining to whether the

director of a company can be held liable under Section 27 of the Consumer
Protection Act, 1986, without being originally impleaded as a party to a suit filed
against such company.

3. Researched on condominiums formed under the Maharashtra Apartment

Ownership Act, 1970, on the following points:
a) Differences between a co-operative society and a condominium.
b) Whether share certificates are issued in a condominium.

4. Researched on the law relating to a power of attorney made overseas by an

overseas citizen of India, in favour of an Indian national and in relation to acts to
be performed in India, on the following points:
a) Whether such power of attorney is admissible in evidence in India?
 b) How such power of attorney can be certified for use in India?

5. Researched on the registration of charges under the Companies Act, 2013, on the
following points.
a) The procedure for the creation and modification of a charge.
b) The procedure for the rectification of a charge already registered.

6. Assisted in research relating to the formation of a trust under the Indian Trusts
Act, 1880.

7. Researched on the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, on the manner of dissolution of a

partnership firm.

Sonali Jain carried out all tasks assigned to her in a diligent and conscientious manner.
She is a disciplined worker, shows high potential and has the calibre to carry out
assignments entrusted.
