Has been initiated by ICICI under the Programme for the Advancement of Commercial
Technology for Child and Reproductive Health (PACT-CRH) to improve reproductive
health in India
Through TV, Press, Radio, PR and on-ground one-on-one special events, the OCP
category grew by 48% since the campaign launch in 1998 and by 5% over 2002

Condom bindaas bol Campaign

Operation is a joint effort between the Indian ministry of health and family welfare, ICICI
Bank and Private Sector Partnership-One (PSP-One) of the US Agency for International
Development (USAID).
Objective of the campaign was to address the decline in condom use and sales in eight
states of North India, which together comprise 45 per cent of the condom market in the
country. The states included Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Madhya
Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Health Ministry launches two new contraceptives(2007)

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched two new contraceptives, an
injectable contraceptive MPA under the ‘Antara’ programme and a contraceptive pill,
‘Chhaya’
The contraceptives are safe and highly effective, the ‘Antara’ injectable being effective
for three months and the ‘Chayya’ pill for one week.
