What is living wage? What is minimum wage? Differentiate the two.

Living wage is a wage that enables an individual to support oneself or a wage sufficient for

workers to meet the basic needs of their families. On the other hand Minimum Wage is defined

as "the minimum amount of remuneration that employers legally have to pay to workers for the

work performed during a given period, which cannot be reduced by collective agreement or an

individual contract." in a simple sense, it is a wage legislation that apply to all workers in a given

jurisdiction whether in a private or public sector.

The purpose of living wage is to ensure that all full time workers have enough income to live

above the poverty level. But a living wage is not enough to improve a quality of life, it is just to

ensure that a worker and his/her family can have a decent standard of living.

They say that minimum wage are created to support the living wage, but the minimum wage is

an amount set by a legislation while the living wage is based on basic living costs like food,

health care, rent, transportation, etc., while in minimum wage, lawmakers must consider the

needs of the business and the employees.

Define Environmental Planning according to R. A. 10587.

R. A 10587 Defines the Environmental Planning as "urban and regional planning, city planning,

town and country planning, and/or human settlements planning, refers to the multi-disciplinary

art and science of analyzing, specifying, clarifying, harmonizing, managing and regulating the

use and development of land and water resources, in relation to their environs, for the

development of sustainable communities and ecosystems."

The state encompasses the importance of environmental planning by the preservation of

natural resources towards the development of nation- building.

By nurturing competent, productive and well-rounded environmental planners, who's practice

must be globally competitive through a licensure exam amd programs that develop their

professional skills and development of social responsibilities.

How can I help in sustaining the preservation of the environment?

Every individual has the capacity to preserve the environment it is just a matter of responsibility.

There are certain ways of how to help in sustaining the preservation of the environment.

Use reusable bags. Plastic grocery-type bags that get thrown out end up in landfills or in other

parts of the environment. These can suffocate animals who get stuck in them or may mistake

them for food. Also, it takes a while for the bags to decompose. Whether you are shopping for

food, clothes or books, use a reusable bag. This cuts down on litter and prevents animals from

getting a hold of them.

Recycle. Recycling is such a simple thing to do, but so many people don’t do it. look for recycling

cans near trashcans. Instead of throwing recyclables in the trash with your non-recyclables,

make a point to take an extra step to locate recycling cans around your campus.

Save Water. Water is wasted more frequently than we can see. Turn off the faucet as you are

brushing your teeth. Don’t turn your shower on until you’re ready to get in and wash your hair.

Limit your water usage as you wash dishes. Changing old habits will be good for both the

environment and reduce costs.

Based of homo finitus, why is it some consider minimum wage immoral?

In homo finitus, they see labor market as comprised of real human beings, who have limited life

and energy that wishes a better life. They consider minimum wage unethical because raising it

will cause unemployment to certain individuals. They also said that it is immoral because it

affect negatively the low wage workers whos's only hope is to improve their income.

It is the responsibility of the state to consider the common good of all the individual in the

society. A minimum wage set at a appropriate and responsible level can improve the economie's

performance, promotes economic justice and the general welfare of the people.

What is Homo Oeconomicus?

Some proponents of theories regarding minimum wage say that there's a perfect competition in

the market, including the labor marke, that the standard model of competitive labor market

shows that when the minimum wage is set at a higher profit, there's a tendency of job loss

among the low-skilled workers.

In a logical sense, business is really for profit, so in order for the employers to achieve it, they

need to reduce their costs and these includes the labor cost. Setting the minimum wage above

the equilibrium will cause unemployment or the demand for labor will fall. Employers tends to

find alternatives lije substitute labor force with capital. But some researchers says that there

could be an effect of the increase in minimum wage but according to their studies it is minimal

and it only impact the younger ages and unskilled workers.

From the above statement, workers may be awar that if they could have obtained exyra skills,

they could have received above minimum and employers will no longer terminate them

considering that they are asser of the company.
