Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

Graduation is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the conclusion of an educational journey and the
commencement of another more uncertain and more difficult part of man’s quest for a better life and
future. Today signifies the culmination of the two years of hard work and patience in the pursuit of
knowledge that will enable the graduates to embrace the opportunities and take on challenges with
clear vision and purpose. Welcome to the 1st Commencement Exercises of the Senior High School of
Divine Word College of Calapan with the theme”K-12 Learners, Ready to Face Life’s Challenges.”

This batch is composed of academic track with different strands namely; Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics, Accountancy, Business Management, Humanities and Social Sciences
and General Academic Strand) and technical vocational livelihood track major in Home Economics and
Computer System Servicing).

To formally open this significant event and to give us the words of welcome, is our very own Hannah
Mae S.A. Portus with high honors, from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Strand.

improving individuals. As they continue with their journey, may they look back to this stage in their lives
with fondness and pride. Ladies and gentlemen, this concludes the 1st commencement exercises.
