WARM-UP:
Aims: -to greet the SS;
-to mark the absentees;
-to relax the classroom atmosphere;
-to check previous knowledge;
-to revise the previously taught vocabulary through songs “Warm up” song and “The Greetings”-
song;
Interaction: T-Ss; Ss-T;
Techniques; question-answer, mime and gesture; repetition;
Timing: 5’;
Procedure: -T. greets the students;
The T. revises the previously taught vocabulary –greetings and actions through the songs the students
have learnt.

ACTIVITY 1: LEAD-IN- REVISION OF THE PREVIOUS LEARNT VOCABULARY
Aims: - to introduce the Ss. into the subject of the lesson;
-to raise the Ss’ interest in the topic of the lesson;
-to motivate Ss. to interact and exchange ideas and information;
-to revise the way people introduce to each other through songs;
Techniques: question-answer, discussion, choral and individual repetition; brainstorming;
Timing: 20’’
Interaction: T-Ss: Ss-T;
Procedure: T. relaxes the atmosphere of the class by asking the SS. to sing “What’s your name” and “Hello,
hello, how are you” songs- , miming actions, checking in this way their comprehension;
T. asks SS to role play some short dialogues, greeting and introducing themselves.
T. asks Ss to explain some words from the song they sing.

ACTIVITY 2: REVISING THE PREVIOUSLY TAUGHT VOCABULARY:


Aims: -to provide a stimulating means of practicing the new vocabulary related to the topic of
animals, family, body parts;
-to check Ss comprehension;
-to improve pronunciation;
-to check the Ss recognition of the revised vocabulary;
-to revise and improve SS’ vocabulary
-to describe physical appearance revising and using colors and adjectives related to emotions;
-to check the Ss’ understanding of the revised vocabulary;
-to improve SS’ speaking skills;
Techniques: question-answer; discussion; listening; visualization; choral and individual repetition, drilling;
monitoring; feedback;
Timing: 20’;
Interaction: T-Ss; Ss-T; GW; PW;
Procedure: -SS listen to the following songs: “Mommy finger”, “Head, shoulders, knees and toes” “The
animals”, “If you’re happy”.

They sing the songs and after each song the T leads feedback sessions to check the SS’ comprehension of the
vocabulary using flash cards, posters, asking SS to make sentences of their own to express what they see and
what they are asked about.

ACTIVITY 3- EVALUATION:
Aims: -to receive feedback from the Ss;
Techniques: question-answer, discussion, choral and individual repetition, monitoring;
Timing : 5;
Interaction: T-Ss: Ss-T; PW; IW;
Procedure: T. praises all the Ss., gives rewards to those Ss who performed well during the class.
