I am writing to apply for the position of Project Officer, as advertised recently on the
jobs.tas.gov.au website.

I am a qualified, dedicated and experienced IT Postgraduate at Edith Cowan University,

WA, specializing in both Information Systems and Project Management. In order to align
with the job requirements, I would like to state as, my most recent role has a very similar
job description that perfectly match with advertised role. My last role is an academic role,
which is based on coordinating and delivers of Vocational (NVQ Level IV – National
Vocational Qualification) Courses for undergraduates, who are willing to transfer to
Vocational University in Sri Lanka. In addition to deliver of courses, I was responsible for
create, present and manipulate of course strategies, Prepare and established Quality
Management Systems and Standards, Organized Career sessions, Perform post evaluation
sessions, Organized Examination guidelines, Prepare Course Contents, Create and Arrange
Internship Opportunities and align of other necessary parts and sections that are assisting
for quality education.

In addition to my academic role as an IT Instructor, I was completed a Project Management

Internship in one of the leading Project Consultancy firm which is attached to the
Government University in Sri Lanka. Primarily, my role is dedicated for plan and
coordinating of project works, Stakeholder management activities, Track the Project stages
and communicate project milestones for relevant parties in both written and verbal format.

Further, I have dedicated service in worked as an IT and Mathematics Teacher for deliver
course contents for grade 5 to 9 students in one of the leading International School in Sri
Lanka. Within that particular role, I have responsible for prepare and delver course
contents, Preparation of unit contents and organized other relevant programs for
children’s.
Over the past three years with my career I have gained excellent Industrial experiences
which are related to academic training and project management. Those experiences were
motivated me in several aspects to stay confidence in the Industry and deliver the agreed
service in timely manner.

My post graduates studies primarily assist me to develop my knowledge and experiences in

develop and manage of IT Systems. But, In addition to that, I have gained excellent practices
in Business Process Management, Project Management, Worked on development of
Programs, policies, Industrial Standards and Strategies that are targeted for different
Industries etc.

In order to successfully navigate in the stated job specification, I am strongly confidence in

both academic and industrial perspective to successfully deliver the stated responsibilities.
In addition to that, I possess excellent Organisational skills and an ability to maintain the
big picture while attending to details and logistics. I am an excellent communicator, with an
ability to manage large teams of people; and I remain calm and positive under pressure,
especially in what can be difficult or traumatic situations.
