I am a student pursuing a graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University and I am
seeking opportunities at a suitable position in your organization.

I believe that ExxonMobil, as a leading vertically integrated corporation in the oil and gas industry
provides a great opportunity to me to contribute in the role outlined. I am currently working as a Graduate
Research Assistant with Dr. George Moridis and Dr. Tom Blasingame at the university and my work
focusses on Computational methods for simulating flow in porous media. My work focusses on the use of
High Perfomance Computing techniques like Parallel Algorithms to improve computational efficiency in
simulations involving huge data sets as well as analyze low-energy thermal recovery processes in tight
reservoirs. My background as a student of Petroleum Engineering provide me with a sound technical
footing that I believe shall help me excel in your organization. After graduating I worked at Shell as a
Data Engineer for various operations focusing on the subsurface and wells. My sound understanding of
programming as well as my domain knowledge in Reservoir Engineering and Petrophysics helped me be
a part of a small team that worked on helping Shell save costs through effective data management
strategies as well as technical solutions for using data at various tasks. My work helped Shell integrate the
huge repository of erstwhile BG’s petrophysical data into Shell’s environment while ensuring compliance
to Shell’s data standards without outsourcing these tasks to vendors. I have done similar projects for Shell
in Reservoir engineering PVT data which helped preserve legacy and present data while also helping
easing access to its use in operations. I’m a quick and meticulous in all my work, a fact to which all my
professors and peers shall vouch for. I always do more. An extensive work experience through internships
in office and field environments as well as in team based academic project works, I believe, provide me
with relevant technical skills and the ability to work on tasks that I believe I shall be assigned to in the
role outlined. Therefore, I believe I could fit easily into your team and excel. I am also proficient in
programming in R, MATLAB, C, C++, Fortran, Java and OpenMP/MPI approaches as well as industry
specific reservoir and well engineering software like Petrel, Eclipse and Landmark Decision-Space. I
have taken initiative teach myself Machine Learning and handling advanced algorithms which has helped
both during professional work and my present research. My resume shall outline my academic credentials
and shall attest to my commitment to excellence in all I do.
