1st QUARTERLY REPORT IN SUPPORT TO SENIOR CITIZEN (SC)

AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWDs)

In the interest of the service and in order to provide adequate services to the Senior Citizens
(SC) and Person with Disabilities (PWDs) clients, PENRO Sorsogon continuously maintaining the priority
seats and special lanes at PENRO in B. Flores St., Burabod Sorsogon City, Technical Services Division in
Brgy. Road, Balogo, Sorsogn City and Satelite Office in Del Rosario, Pilar, Sorsogon.

Likewise, our Office is observing and complying with the provisions under the Republic Act No.
9994 (Expanded Senior Citizen’s Act) and Republic Act 7277 Magna Carta for Person with Disabilities and
implementing the Batas Pambansa Blg. 344 measures, the availability of drinking water, wheelchair,
stretcher, and first aid kit.

PENRO personnel give importance and priority to the 356 Senior Citizen (SC) clients and
provide full support to their transactions for the month of January, February and March (1st Quarter C.Y.
2018).

In the interest of the service and in order to provide adequate services to the Senior Citizens
(SC) and Person with Disabilities (PWDs) clients, PENRO Sorsogon continuously maintaining the priority
seats and special lanes.

with Disabilities (PWDs) clients and provide full support to their transactions for the month of April, May
and June (2nd Quarter C.Y. 2018).

Last March 26, 2018 our Office conducted environmental Communication Education and
Public Awareness (CEPA) Campaign in connection with the 14th Women with Disability as well as the 11th
Autism Awareness Week celebration at Sorsogon National High School, Sorsogon City. The activity was
attended by Special Education (SpED) students.

Last first week of July 2018, the Office of the PENRO Sorsogon Technical Services Division in
Brgy. Road, Balogo, Sorsogon City was vacated due to recontruction of the building and the personnel
transferred to Management Services Division located at B. Flores St., Burabod, Sorsogon City. The office
space was very crowded to accomodate the personnel of Technical Services Division and Management
Services Division. However, our office is contineously observing and maintaining the priority seats and
special lanes for the Senior Citizens (SC) and Person with Disabilities (PWDs) in order to provide efficient
public service.

The Satelite Office in Del Rosario, Pilar, Sorsogon is likewise observing and complying with
the provisions under the Senior Citizens and Person with Disabilities Republic Act and implementing
the Batas Pambansa measures, the availabilty of drinking water, wheelchair, strecher and first aid kit.

In connection with the observance of the 15th Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection
(CPAP) Week Celebration from September 16-22, 2018), DENR – PENRO Sorsogon supported
the above mentioned celebration by hanging of advocacy streamer within our office premises
located at B. Flores St., Burabod Sorsogon City and Satelite Office, Brgy. Del Rosario, Pilar,
Sorsogon.

Our Office coordinated with Brgy. Tugos, Sorsogon City through Brgy. Chairman
Arnelito E. Garcia and President, Senior Citizen (SC) Emma Camposano in the conduct of Clean-
Up Drive/Activity on September 20, 2018 on their barangay.

The activity was attended by 25 Senior Citizens (SC), 10 Brgy. Council and 1 from Brgy.
Health Office and started at exactly 7:00 in the morning.

The PENRO Sorsogon is contineously observing and complying the provisions under the Senior
Citizens and Persons with Disabilities Republic Act and implementing the Batas Pambansa measures.
Priority seats and special lanes, availability of drinking water, wheelchair, stretcher and first aid kit for the
Senior Citizens (SC) and Person with Disabilities (PWDs) are maintained.

To promote public awareness and observance of the Senior Citizens (SC) and Persons with
Disabilities (PWDs) Republic Acts, our Office are enjoined to extend full support and prioritization to their
transactions.
