MEANING OF WELFARE STATE

 Welfare State means that the State that take care the Welfare of
the State

 The welfare state is a convient and elastic phrase

 Generally, welfare state promotes the general happiness and


welfare of the people

 A welfare state regards itself as an agency of social service


rather than instrument of power.

 “Welfare state is a state that provides for its citizens a
wide range of social services.”

To perform miracle of security and liberty

 The preamble to the constitution states, “We the people of India,
having resolved to constitute India into a sovereign socialist
secular democratic republic to secure to all citizens;
 Justice- Social, Economic & Political;
 Liberty of thoughts, expression, belief, faith and worship;
 Equality of status and of opportunity and promote among them
all;
 Fraternity, assuring the dignity of individual and the unity and
integrity of the nation.”
