Executive summary

We have been contacted by YouJuice, a Mexican based juice producer and asked about the
possibility of our company helping them to choose the right candidate to be their Sales and
Marketing Director in their new facilities in Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. We would analyze
in detail the three main candidates for the job, from their background and studies to their
personalities to give the best conclusion possible.

Introduction

This report Will look at the following aspects of the candidates:

Background,

Education

Experience.

Personalities

Family.

Possible reasons why they would like the job.

Findings

First we have Juana Ramos, a Mexican woman of 30 years with 2 children of seven and nine
years old. She has a degree in Economics and is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in
Marketing.

She has plenty of experience working for the company and is fluent in Spanish and Italian, but
not so much in English and Portuguese.

She also said in the interview that his children would not be a problem for his job but we have
serious reasons to doubt about it since she is doing his Master’s Degree at distance, something
that if his children’s were not a problem would not be necessary to do.

The second candidate, Chantal Lefevre, is an older woman from Switzerland, divorced and with
one child. She has an university degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Marketing,
something that can be very useful for the job.

Not even mentioning his two years’ of experience doing market research and over fifth teen
years working on sales and marketing in Europe. She is also a modest persons that answers
questions directly and believes that the staff should be involved in all decisions to help them
be motivated.

And the Tirth candidate is the American Jeff Sanderson of 54 years. He is a graduated from
Harvard Business School and joined YouJuice 20 years ago, always working in sales.

He is fluent on English and Portuguese but lacks good Spanish pronunciation.

He is also a serious person respected by his staff and has a strong sense of responsibility. But
make no mistakes, he is not a close minded person because of that, he has showed a great
interest in South American Culture, something that combined with his degree in Sociology will
help him to adapt to the local environment very quickly something that makes him the best
candidate, not even mentioning the fact that he has no child nor wife, having no personal
problems traveling aboard for long periods of time. Something that will without doubt happen
in this kind of job.

Conclusion

Our conclusión is that Jeff Sanderson is the best candidate for the job.

Recommendation

We recommend to do further interviews with him to corroborate that he is looking for an

important job to end his career with prestige and not only doing it to have a better retirement,
but also to do an analysis of the installations in Argentina and Colombia to see if his lack of oral
skills in Spanish will be a problem there, in which case Chantal Lefevre should be taken in
consideration for the job.
