ABSTRACT

Agora Bañamos Community Civic and Commercial Center is a place that can

be a focal point in community governance, which exposed both people and

government to a culture of learning, exchange and creativity. It is a development

which purpose is to influence how people think, which in the process enhance

individual lives of people, and advantageous contribution to the community.

Similarly, the proposed community civic and commercial center is a step

towards nurturing smart, educated and high-value persons in a place. It aimed to

explore into different design possibilities in order to develop a government space in

which people can exercise their freedom through a barrier free design. This design

is one which enables people to move safely and freely and use the facilities within

the built environment. It is a space or a set of services that can be accessed by all,

without obstacles, with dignity and with as much independence as possible. The

goal of barrier free design is to provide an environment that supports the

independent functioning of differently able individuals so that they can get to, and

participate without assistance, in everyday activities such as procurement of goods

and services, employment, leisure and community living.
