English with Busuu.

Dialog – 27.3.2019
P1: We've moved to a new suburb. It's so peaceful. We found a great house next to the
school and right opposite a park!
P2: I can't believe you're living in the suburbs now! I will come and see you one day on the
way home from work.
P1: You should! It's great. We discovered some great restaurants just down the road from
us. We went yesterday and sat outside. It was lovely.
P2: So nice. Yeah, I took a bus through the city the other day, and I thought, "Maybe I
should move too!"
P1: Yes! We can be neighbours! Then we can find all the good local spots together.
P2: Ah, I wish. It sounds great. Plus the city is getting so crowded and dangerous.
P1: Well, I think I saw a 'to let' sign on a flat across the street from our house.
P2: Oh cool! I'll think about it. Thanks.

Adjectives in English absolutely have to be in this order:

1. opinion;
2. size;
3. age;
4. shape;
5. coloour;
6. origin;
7. material; and
8. purpose.

So you can have a...

…lovely little old rectangular green French silver whittling knife...
...but if you mess with that word order in the slightest you'll sound like a maniac. And as
size comes before colour, green great dinosaurs can't exist.
