PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the presentation, analysis, and interpretation of data

This study aimed to know the effectiveness of the k-12 program for the

perspective of those who graduated from the program. In order to do so, the

researchers interviewed participants who would give sufficient data

For question number one (1), the participant’s answers are as follows:

According to participant A, K-12 program did not help the students to

prepare in the working industry. Also, it is based on his/her experience that as of

now K-12 is not much of help due to circumstances that his/her course was way

too far from the career he/she take. But also, he/she is now enjoying his/her work

as a customer service representative in Concentrix Phil.

Participant B said that K-12 program helps other students who finished it

even his/her work or sideline is not related to the course he/she chose. But even if

his/her course in not related to his/her work as of now, he/she is enjoying taking

care of animals.

"Sa tingin ko nakakatulong ang K-12 sa work ko, bukod sa na aapply ko yung

kurso na nakuha ko noon na CSS." Participant C said, according to him K-12

program is helpful to him because his course that chose before if related to his
work.He is also now enjoying his work in a bakery because he said that "bukod

sa nakakatulong ako, may pera pa akong nakukuha" He said that not only

helping at the bakery but also he is gaining money.

chose before is related to his current right work now as a computer server. Also,

Participant D said that he he/she gained a lot of skills in the K-12 program.

and sometimes he/she can apply the knowledge he/she learned before in his/her

current work and also at home. Participant E is now working as a service crew at

mcdonalds where he/she also find it enjoying.

For question number two (2), the participant’s answers are as follows:

3 out of 5 participants agreed that k-12 help the students in achieving their

goals. Participant B said "As I said in no.3, k-12 help decided to along with the

course they decide to take in" and participant C said "Para sa akin nakatulong

yong k-12 para ma-enhance pa yung kaalaman as a student. From both

participant B and C's statement, k-12 helps the student in enhancing their

knowledge to prepare them either they decide to work or have their own

business.

Participant D said "Nakakatulong sya as a working student kasi once you

love the strand marami akong mapply na skills through my career", as this

statement implies, if the student loves everything that he have learned, the

knowledge will remain in him that he can use throughout his career. Futher,
participant E said "for me it depends. Meron kasing ibang nag work na hindi

related sa work nila yung pinag-aralan nila, so for me magbebenifits lang yung k-

12 kung related na nakuha mo! From the statement, the benefits of k-12 program

depends on what work will the student have.

On the contrary, participant A said "the k-12 program given that the public

viewed it as a way of improving the education within the Philippines, does not suit

the way we study. There are implications that could hinder a person in pursuing

his/her chooses career." As the statement implies, k-12 didn't help the student in

achieving their goals instead it gives difficulty to the students who take it.

For question number three (3), the participant’s answers are as follows:

There is one thing that Participant A would like to add in the k-12 program and

that is to include additional courses which will incorporate every career possible.

His answer was because of his answer in interview question number 3 which he

says that the track s/he have taken was too far from the career the s/he have

now.

Participant E said that DepEd should some subjects which will not help the

students with their job in the future. Participant E wanted the students to focus

more on gaining more knowledge that will help them someday in the future with

the help of the k-12 program,

Participant D said that it all depends on the students. Participant D believes

that no matter how much you feed the students if they don’t want to eat they will

not be full.
Mean while Participants B and C said that there is nothing that they want to
