Bios of Speakers / Performers
Stand-up Comedy by Baggy R (15/12/2018)
• Bhargav Ramakrishnan (“Baggy”) has been a full time
arts professional for 11 years, and a stand up comedian
for a little more than 4. He has worked as an actor,
performer, comic and director, has been part of >1500
shows, has performed all over India and has toured in
the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

• Baggy has just concluded an 18-months long, extremely


successful tour of his latest Stand up Comedy Solo
Special: “KungFu Bonda” featuring more than 40 shows.
The online version will be released later this year.

• He has performed shows for a variety of college and


corporate events for clients such as IIT Chennai, NIT
Trichy, IIM Bangalore, Google, HP, Amazon, Microsoft
and others.He has launched his own production house
called Half Boiled Inc and is currently touring with his
new show called 'The Half Boiled Improv Show' with his
team of talented improvisors.

Life, Careers, Transitions – Anchor- Dr. Rajeshwari
• Dr K. Rajeshwari, is currently an Associate Professor ( Marketing)
at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. Prior to this,
she completed her Ph.D from IIT Madras and served as a faculty
member at XLRI, Jamshedpur, before which she did her post
graduation from IIM-A. She is also a visiting faculty at various
IIMs in the country.
• Rajeshwari has authored three books (two as sole author). The
first was titled My Life My Choice (2011) and was about mid-life
career choices. The second was a reference text book for B
Schools and was titled New Product Development: A FMCG
Perspective (2017). The third, The New Plan A, focuses on mid-
life career challenges faced by working women and the various
stakeholder interventions required for them to resume their
careers. Rajeshwari is a regular columnist in the Hindu Business
Line and has published several articles and case studies in
International as well as domestic journals. She recently won the
Best Paper Award at an International Research Conference in
Boston in 2017.
• Rajeshwari has won the Women Achiever Award twice in 2011
and 2012 and was recently conferred the title Distinguished
Woman In Management in 2017 and in 2018. She is on the
academic board of MCC Business School and has been chosen as
as a Subject Expert - Marketing by Tata Consultancy Services,
India. She worked in the industry for 15 years in top companies
like Unilever and Nippon Paint.
Musical Performance by “Drums” Murali (15/12/2018)
• Muralikrishnan is one of the most sought-after percussionists in South
India. His teaching, his experimentation with new kinds of percussion and
his work with the Indian film industry, as well as collaborations with
eminent artistes from all over the globe have also won him accolades.
• Murali has travelled and performed extensively in India and around the
world. Some of his popular performances include welcoming A.R.
Rahman when he returned with the Oscars, opening ceremony of Indian
Super League with A.R. Rahman, jugalbandhi with his Guru, Legendary
Mridangam maestro Dr. Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, Fusion concerts with
the Late Mandolin U.Shrinivas, interactive drumming workshops with
International Percussionist Ramesh Shotham, drumming duet with British
percussionist Pete Lockett, Jam session with American Jazz Legend Steve
Smith, Indian festival in Australia, Indian Rhythms at Thailand, concerts
with ace drummer Sivamani, the Japanese Drum group Yamato,
collaborations with Mandolin Rajesh, and also for the most popular
Television show, Airtel super singer.
• Murali has also worked with Harris Jeyaraj, James Vasanthan, GV Prakash
and Karthik providing rhythms for the movie scores, and collaborated with
Sivamani for the movie Arimainambi. He has performed Live shows with
Shankar Mahadevan, K J Yesudas, S Janaki, P Susheela, Harini, Karthik,
Srinivas, Chitra, Unni Menon, Sujatha, Unni Krishnan, Malgudi Shuba &
Rehana to name a few.
• Murali is also a great teacher and mentor. His brain child, Jus Drums, one
of the premier institutions in India imparting the art of Drumming,has
trained over 900 students in the last 15 years, across the age group of 5-
85. Apart from this, Murali has been running his Pop music group,
“Symphony and fusion band Taalathma for over two decades now.
