Believers’ Institute Confession of Faith

• I believe Jesus is Lord and His Word is always true - He cannot lie.

• I love God my heavenly Father with all my heart, my soul and my strength (Selah and do).

• I love others and love myself (Selah and do).

• I am filled with the Holy Spirit so I hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and I promptly obey.

“Because I obey His Word and walk in love, His will is done in my life.
I am the Righteousness of God in Christ. I can do all things through Christ.
I live by faith. I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me.”

The Redemption of Man

I. Genesis 1:26—God makes man in His own image

A. Fellowship is the reason for man
B. In order to fellowship with God, man had to be created in God’s image
C. To partake of God’s life, man had to be in God’s class

The Reality of Redemption

Foundation Scriptures: Colossians 1: 13-14

III. The plan of redemption called for an incarnation

B. A man was the key figure in the Fall; a man had to be the key figure in
redemption

child of God by receiving the nature of God (John 1:12)
D. Man could receive eternal life only after he had been legally removed from
Satan’s authority

lord over Jesus. The life of Christ on earth is an example of a man free from the
lordship of Satan

(Mark 11:22-24)
E. This redemption was revealed to Paul (Galatians 1; Ephesians 3:1-12)

V. Satan’s lordship broken

A. Romans 5:12, 14-15, 17; Hebrews 2:14—Satan had the power of death
B. Eph 1: 19-22; Revelation 1:18—Jesus says He now has it
C. Revelation 12:11—We overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of
