I was born by C section. It was all planned ahead, big suprise, I was getting too big.

I was six weeks

premature and was 10.10 pounds and nearly two feet long. They said I would have made the papers if it
had not been for a woman having her third mulltiple birth on the same day. I spent some time in the Neo
natal unit, where they were not used to picking up babies over a few pounds. When they would scoop me
up they automatically chedcked to make sure i was the right baby in the right spot. it was a croweded
little bed, I guess maybe i should have gotten used to it. Things have never really fit ever since. My
father showed his stripes that day, yellow ones. He fainted when they took blood and missed the whole
birth. Makes since I guess, that he has missed most of my life, since that is the track record he set from
the start. I went home to a big brother who was six years older than me and a cat. We had a quiet life. I
went to work with my mom a lot, had my own little corner in her office. I was such a good quiet baby no
one ever guessed I was there unless she told them. Gramma took care of me when I got my voice.
After a year though, mom had to resign to take care of both me and gramma. That is when we moved to
the country.

remember that track record I mentioned? Yeah, well it wasnt long before mom was taking care of two
boys and six goats on herown. When she met my first step dad, she thought he was the one. He did his
best to father two wild boys. We moved back to the city and I started Kindergarten. Well I ttied. I was
just on the cusp for birthdays and was a little younger than all the other kids, but my size made you think
different. My mom said the football coach saw me coming and drooled. I parted ways with kindergarten
after a few hard weeks. I did not like girls at all and would not make eye contact with the, not even my
teacher, who was also my next door neighbor. I gladly gave up my school gareet and stayed home with
my mom and grampa. We had a house with a view of the school and football field, as my step dad
worked there, and I enjoyed watching for my brother as he ran around the track after school and when he
came home. I went back the next year with a different teacher and did great. I was already reading high
school level books and loved the new teacher. My mom volunteered as room mom and things were great
for a few years. Then we had to move because my step dad had to quit his job. Back to the country we
went. Thank goodness we didnt sell our house huh?

We bought new goats when we moved back to our house on the mountain. Mom loved them more than
dogs. Me, I had a bad history with goats. Not that they were mean, but I tended to think I was capable
ofgiving myself a hair cut and left along int he yard i found the goat shears and shaved blad spots in my
head. Yeah, it looked bad. Mom was livid and we ended up shavving my head bald. My neighbor
threatened to dye my hair purple if I ever did it again. I believed her, she was a me is mean and crazy. I
loved living in teh country, we had very little traffic to contend with on our private road, whick rounded in a
cul de sac in front of our home and went up a nice sloping hill past gramma and grandpas house, around
a big double tree and out to the main road. This left a nice area to ride bikes in or ride skat boards on. I
sprained my neck, broke my arm, and briuised almost every body part on that hill before they finally got
me to believe I could NOT get a head transplant if I broke it. No one is quite sure exactly what moment I
realized this, but my mother breathed a sigh of relif when it did. I swung from being Evil Keneviel to
being a Hypochondriac. Worried that every sniffle was pneumonia, that I was having a heart attack in my
foot during P.E (it made the teacher have a heart attack worrying_ ) .Mom ended up moving grampa in
with us and taking care of him, she said it was easier than keeping house in two homes. My uncle moved
into my grampas and he would take me fishing some times. My step dad was working at the new school
the city built. Mom got a job at the Cable company. It was a good job, it paid good but had long hours.
She was always tired when she came home. My step dad decided this was the perfec time to come down
with a mysterious disease that could not be diagnosed. He quit his job and spent the next three years
gaining weight and trying to get onto disability. My mom worked overtime to cover the bills, twelve hour
days with a two hour commute on both ends. She had a break down and a stroke and with in six
months, my mom went blind. During that time, she never once stopped trying to go back to work. Even
after her social security came through, she treid to go back to her job. Not once did my step dad try. My
mom quickly became the one that needed to be taken care of. Only, my step dad was focused on
himself. She could not even keep regular doctors appointments. The only ones he took her to were
surgeries where he hoped it would improve her eyesight so, to quote him "I won't have to spend the rest
of my life taking care of you" unquote. That was the day she decided. It took a year before she chose
where we would go.
Mom played a game called Second Life, where she had a cyber family. A mother, a father, three
daughtes and aa cyber husband. This man was her best friend. He lived in Wyoming. He worried about
her all the time knowing what it was like. She made plans to go visit him during the summer. She fell ill
and almost died right before. Begging to go to the emergency room she had to fight her husband. He
did not want to have to sit and was going to take her to the walk in clinic. Mom knew they would not be
able to help her, that someihing horrible was wrong. They fought all the way there and he left her sitting
in the ER to sulk in the car. Her gallbladder had died and was spreading infection through her body. If
she hadnt come to the ER when she did, the doctor said she likely would have died. The first person she
called when she woke up was her friend and they made new plans. She wasnted to visit, see what it was
like, what the scools were like and well... make sure that Garrett wasnt that 34 yr old man living in his
mothers basement with sixteen cats before she packed me up and moved. The visit went well and after
she came home, things only last six months before we found ourselves with four suitcases on a bus
arriving in twenty below weather, the coldest we have ever felt in our lives. Gillette Wyoming, welcome.

After a year I got a job at Smith's. I love my job, although on hot days it sucks to push cars and well., on
cold days it sucks to push carts. I guess, generally, it just sucks to push carts. I am hoping to move into
a job in the dairy department soon. I anm taking driver's education at the regular school still. I bought my
first car, mom says it's better than any car she ever owned. I do my onli classwork after work in the
evenings. When I am not doing my classwork, I am playing star trek onloine. When I finish school I am
going to go back to Washington to visit my brther and meet my nephew Aidan. He is a year old now and
only knows me as Uncle **ithead. Yeah. Got to love big brothers. I look forward to working in the
computer tech. field after graduation, maybe going to college at Gillet College. I hope to keep working at
Smith's as it is a great company and they have been great to work for so far.
