Life will feel so much better in April. Mercury has now nished retrograding, so you won’t have the
delays and frustrations you had in March. As an Aries, you like to see things move along swiftly, and
now progress will nally happen at a quick clip—yay!

Watch out for pranks on April 1 when Mercury and Neptune will be nearly conjunct—it will give new
meaning to April Fool’s Day. Being pranked is okay if the joke is cute, but it won’t be cute if you are
signing a document. Neptune veils information, and when the document is legally binding, that’s not
good. A much better day to make a pact, promise, or proposal would be April 7, when Mercury
(communication, contracts) will receive bene cial rays from Saturn (longevity). April 7 is your day to
sign.

The new moon on April 5 this month will be in Aries, 15 degrees, a special one for you. Being that this
is a new moon in your sign, you can channel its energy in many different directions any way you like. If
you take on a new career role, you may nd it a bit arduous, but those are the kinds of positions that
will bring you greater responsibility, power, and prestige. You may feel the job to be strenuous
because both Saturn and Pluto will be in hard angle to the Sun and moon. However, you’ll nd it

dif cult to make a name for yourself without having the taskmaster Saturn test your mettle, so his
challenge can actually inspire a positive step. What you accomplish with Saturn, you keep forever, and
you will be proud of all you achieve. For these reasons, don’t worry about this new moon—it will be
your friend.

There will be a saving grace to this new moon with Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, in the vicinity
and close enough from his perch in Sagittarius to send you a golden stroke of happiness or luck.
(Jupiter is within nine degrees.) The lucky planet will give you special help if you plan to travel
internationally or want to attract a number of work-related international relationships. Jupiter will
also help you if you work in broadcasting, publishing, on the Internet, in the court system, in medicine,
or are a student (or professor or teaching instructor) in a university. New moons open opportunities
on a wide level, so see what comes up.

If your birthday falls on or near April 5, plus or minus ve days, you will feel this new moon more
strongly than most, and something new is likely to come up in any area of your life. The same is true if
you have Aries rising or the natal moon in Aries at 15 degrees (plus or minus ve degrees), or if you
have any natal planet in Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius, plus or minus ve degrees.

Elsewhere in your chart, you will be glad that Mars left Taurus at the end of last month (March 30) and
now starts to glide through Gemini, a much more congenial place for your ruling planet, Mars, to be.
The difference you will see, now that Mars has left Taurus, is a near instant drop in the high expenses
you have been dealing with from February 14 to March 30. This news has to be a relief.

If you feel you deserve a raise, ask at the new moon next month, May 4, a lovely new moon, when you
are likely to have one approved. If you are self-employed, you might want to prepare your strategy to
bring in a new client after that May 4 new moon.

Venus will enter Aries April 20, to stay until May 15, bringing you an
exciting chance to see love come your way. ”
With Mars in Gemini, you can look forward to traveling to charming nearby towns and cities, and
possibly also to enjoy more time with your sister or brother—Gemini rules both areas. You will have
this lovely in uence until May 15.

When your ruler, Mars, traverses a new sign, it is almost like putting on a new coat. You will take on
some of the glittering Gemini characteristics, so you’re apt to be more communicative and nd you
can more easily express yourself. You may start writing or reading more—or both. You may be
interested in listening to podcasts, audiobooks, or in starting one of your own. Your ability to express
yourself can now become sharper, more compelling, and draw others to you. You’ll nd it’s a great
time to take a course in creative writing or to brush-up on your grammar. It’s also favorable timing to
start learning a new language.

Now let’s move to the very best weekend of the month, Saturday, April 13 to Sunday, April 14, one of
the best two-day periods of the month. On this weekend, the Sun in Aries will receive a gorgeous,
golden beam from Jupiter in Sagittarius for sublime harmony. You’ll nd it’s an ideal time for long-
distance travel or for starting, improving, or expanding an international relationship (either business
or personal). Send in your book or TV proposal on that Saturday, April 13.

The full moon of April 19 in Libra at 29 degrees brings crosscurrents, and it has both some of the
hardest and best aspects. The challenging part is that the Sun in Aries at 29 degrees will be orbiting
right next to Uranus at 2 degrees Taurus. Uranus is the planet of completely unexpected
developments, and he is in Taurus, a nancial sign. Uranus will oppose the late-degree Libra moon to
nearly the exact degree. It concerns me that Uranus is conjunct the Sun and precisely opposed to the
moon. This could bring a shock or dif culties in connection with a family member or residential

matter. Or, it could bring problems with a love relationship or regarding a pregnancy. (Take it slow and
easy on this full moon if you are pregnant. If you don’t want to be pregnant or have your partner
become pregnant, be careful all month.)

The good part about the full moon is that Jupiter will be very close to a trine to the Sun in Aries, an
aspect of supreme harmony. (Jupiter will be within ve degrees, considered quite bene cial.) Jupiter
will be in a helpful angle to the moon too, so this tells me you may receive challenging news that
initially might make you jittery, but Jupiter will rush in to help you, encouraging you to nd a solution
or way to cope quite well. Jupiter is, after all, the planet of miracles. Something is building to a
culmination now, so keep your agenda clear—you do not want to be over-scheduled near April 19.

If April 19, or as early as April 16, is your birthday, you will feel this full moon more intensely than
most Aries. The same is true if you have Aries rising or your natal moon at 29 degrees Aries, or within
ve degrees. A full moon on or near your birthday usually means that an important goal will come to
fruition during this coming birthday year, so next year it will be time to draw up new ones.

Romantically, Venus will be in the most private part of your chart as the month begins, which suggests
that if you are single, you would likely do best if accepting a blind date between April 1 and April 19.
However, after that, from April 20 until May 15, Venus will be in Aries and will be able to bring you an
exciting chance to see love come your way. First, browse the Internet and your favorite stores to buy
new clothes with the gift certi cates or birthday money you might receive this month. This will make
you very happy.

From April 20 to May 15, your love life will glitter and glow. It will be easier for you magnetize the
right person to you, so during that phase, step out, and if you have something new (even a new top or

Monday, April 22, will almost certainly be an exciting day for love and money. The Sun and Uranus will
join hands, indicating you might feel the zing of Cupid’s arrow. The reason I say this day will be
memorable is that the Sun is the natural ruler of your fth house, ruling love, pregnancy, and the birth
of children and care for them. The fth house also rules your creative expression. Any or all of these
areas will bring unusual, unexpected news. With Uranus, you never know which way things will go,
whether in a positive or not so positive way.

On the nancial score, the Sun and Uranus will meet in your second house of income and personal
reserves, and Uranus rules your house of fun and friendship—that day (or the weekend prior, April 20-
21) could be an expensive time for you for socializing, but also lots of fun.

SUMMARY

You’re entering your birthday month, and happy planets will be moving toward your sign, ready to
support you above all others. The month takes off with the new moon in Aries, April 5, an especially
important moment for you and doubly so if your birthday falls on or near that date. In the week that
follows, launch your dearest dreams, but due to crosscurrents from Saturn and Pluto, make sure your

At work, management seems to be dealing with changes and applying pressure on everyone in the

Love could come to you now if you are single, most likely through a blind date set up by a friend.
Married or single, your very best moment of the month—for nding love, enjoying love, or for
conceiving a baby—will come on or near the weekend of April 13-14, when the Sun in Aries will align
with good-fortune planet Jupiter in Sagittarius. Both will be in re signs like yours, allowing you to
absorb the goodness of Jupiter quite easily. The transiting moon will help too, by moving through re-
sign Leo, making this a perfect weekend for fun and enjoying a touch of pampering. Mars, your ruler,
will tour Gemini from the very rst day of April through May 15, giving you plenty opportunity to take
fun weekend getaways. Your sister or brother may also factor largely in those trips now.

Goddess Venus will enter Aries on April 20, to stay until May 15, adding to your charm and charisma.
If you are single and hoping for love, it’s a good time to socialize when Venus is in your sign, and while
you are at it, choose some new pieces to wear. Aries rarely lacks con dence, but by wearing
something new, it will give you an extra boost, so helpful when socializing. Aries rules hair, and to feel

to the full moon. You may have to suddenly help a family member or quickly address a concern
involving your home or someone connected to your home. Your romantic relationship might become
unstable, too—bad timing—for that could make you feel overwhelmed. Don’t throw your hands up in
despair, since Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, seems poised to come to the rescue. Jupiter will be
in an elegant position to the Sun and moon, adding a touch of luck and resourcefulness to handle
whatever comes up.

You seem to be taking on a lot of responsibility at work lately. At the full moon, April 19, VIPs will
demand everything be done their way, even though you’ll feel you have a better approach—if only
they would hear you out. Blame Saturn and Pluto if you feel no one is listening, but be comforted
knowing your job position will remain strong and secure. Any creative ideas you offer have the
potential of being well received, but only after higher-ups have had time to digest your ideas. Again, as
always, diplomacy will be your best course of action.

Saturn will go retrograde on April 29 and won’t go direct until September 18. Pluto will also
retrograde, from April 24 to October 2, and it’s noteworthy that both planets are in your tenth house
of honors, awards, and achievement. After April comes to a close, be happy to remain in your present
position and don’t plan to move ahead until later in the year. You might suffer a minor setback this
month (near April 23 or 29), and if so, take the time to nd ways to course correct.

Jupiter will go retrograde too, beginning April 10, and won’t go direct until August 11. Jupiter never
af icts—think of him as Santa Claus. He is all good all the time. You won’t feel the outer planets
Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter retrograde in the way you’d feel the in uence of Mercury, Mars, or Venus—
you feel those much more because those three planets orbit very close to earth. I will say that it is not
the best time to start a business when Jupiter (ruling pro ts), Venus (ruling pro ts too, especially if
you are aiming goods or services to women), Mars (energy), or Mercury (contracts) are retrograde. I
say wait until August, for that will be a splendid month for you.

You have a sensational career outlook at the late-year eclipse (on Christmas Day, December 25), when
you will have six (out of ten) heavenly bodies to help you effectively display your talents and get you
promoted in a big way. Those six planets will be twinkling in your house of fame and honors. Wow!
