Warm up
Briefly Introduce yourself to help the students know about you for the first time. If you
have taught this student before, please list some topics you plan to talk with the student.
Brief welcoming and mutual introduction, introducing todays lesson

Topic introduction
Please list the ways that how you will introduce the topic to the student.
I would ask the student to describe me ‘’life cycle’’ visible through the pictures on the first
slide.

Language Focus
Please list grammar points such as tense that you want to teach the student.
This is a great opportunity to practice using : since/for, used to, could’ve/would’ve
Vocabulary Focus
Please list the new words that you want to teach the student.
All the words in the lesson are pretty much basic, but if I see my student struggling with
anything, I’m there to help him/her. We can clarify the education section explaining
undergraduate education ( BA degree ), graduate ( MA ) and so on.

Speaking Focus
Please list the expressions that you want to teach the student.
Leave/left home, enter the workforce, ‘leave the nest’, move away from your comfort
zone…

Content expansion
What other content beyond the slides you want to teach the student?

I would allow my student to ask me anything about things mentioned in this lesson since
this is, I think, the widest topic out there.

Time distribution
How do you plan to distribute time on each PPT slide proportionately?
Slides 2,3,4 and 5 will get 5 minutes approximately each. The remaining time will be
used for introduction, free talk and conclusion.
