Responder en inglés las preguntas presentadas en el cuestionario

“Job Interview” y grabar los audios correspondientes basados en los
 tips presentados en el video “Top ten Job interview questions”, que
se encuentra disponible en: http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=I2IDGXX5-
YY y del cual se suministra adicionalmente la transcripción de los
diálogos en el documento anexo: “script for top ten interview
questions”. Para ayudarlo a desarrollar esta actividad, tenga en
cuenta los siguientes pasos: • Escuchar el audio “Top ten job
interview questions”.
De 3.16 minutos de duración. (al menos 5 veces), preste especial
atención a la pronunciación.

 Buscar el vocabulario desconocido, de acuerdo con el script

incorporado.
 Leer el cuestionario que encuentra en el documento de apoyo
“Questionnaire Job Interview”, base para responder las preguntas y
elaborar el audio.
 Contestar con oraciones completas las 10 preguntas del cuestionario.
 Enviar a su instructor tanto el documento con las respuestas en
inglés, así como el audio.
Para completar exitosamente esta actividad tenga en cuenta las
normas para la presentación de trabajos escritos.

1. tell me about yourself (Be work specific and recount a brief

my name is jeancarlo lopez, i´m 29 years old, im from Tulua Valle but
for my work, i live in cucuta, i work like analyst estrategic for security
and citizen coexistence, my strength is the responsibility, the need for
continuous learning, and my leadership

2. why should we hire you? (Be specific and highlight a strength

that is perfectly inline with what the company or organization
is specifically looking for)
well this answer is simple, just because i have an innate leadership,
desire to work in the company and i have extensive knowledge in
systems and networks
3. what is your greatest strength (Be specific and tell a brief
work related example of you exhibiting that strength. Again
pick an example and a strength that is based on your
knowledge of what they're looking for)

my greatest strength is the responsibility and the leadership, for

example in my work, I have to make decisions based on experience
and knowledge, putting calm beforehand, in order to guide my
working group

4. what is your greatest weakness? (specific steps taken to

handle them. Avoidmentioning any weakness that could
affect the specific job opening)

Well, it could be said that when facing new situations in which he does
not know about the question, but given this specific case, I
immediately consult in order to learn about it.

5. Why do you want to work here? (Be specific and mention

aspects of thecompany or organization that you admire and
show how your strengths and abilities make you a perfect fit)

Well, i said before, because i have an innate leadership, desire to

work in the company and i have extensive knowledge in systems and
networks and i know in this big company i can use my knoeledge to
help it to grow ans i can get more experience

6. why did you leave your last job? (If it was because you left
voluntarily thenreference a specific characteristic that the
company you are interviewing for has that you are attracted
to. one that your previous employer didnt have. If you were
let go, be honest and explain the situation and own it. Explain
what you learned from the experience, because the
 interviewer knows you're human, you make mistakes, and
just wants to see that you were able to do something about
it)

I leave my last job because in life there are cycles, and I feel that it is
time to start a new stage in which I contribute my knowledge in other
areas in order to start new challenges and grow personally

7. what is your greatest accomplishment? (be specific and talk

about a past workaccomplishment. Make sure you pick an
accomplishment that shows how valuable you will be in the
position you are interviewing for)

my greatest achievement has been to overcome the expectations of

the proposed goals

8. Describe a difficult work situation and what you did to

overcome it... (Again thekey is to be specific. Bring up a past
work situation that you handled well. Try and pick an example
that shows you tackling a problem that could arise at the new
company you're interviewing for. This shows your value)

In my work, people usually work under pressure due to the changing

dynamics of the work environment, which is why I have learned to
make calm decisions to get ahead

9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? (Your answer should

show that you are aperson with direction and that you have
goals. You should show that those goals include you
advancing and thriving at the company or organization you're
interviewing with. But don't over do it. If you are going for an
entry-level job, don't say you plan to be CEO in 5 years. It will
seem unrealistic and could take you out of the running...)
Well, this year I complete my technological studies in information
systems, my goal is to start the homologation process to continue with
engineering, in 3 years I will finish my undergraduate program and
start a specialization, and thus contribute this knowledge in my work.

10. Do you have any questions for me? (This is your time to make
an impressionand show your knowledge and passion for the
company or organization you are interviewing for.
