A Good Timber Does Not Grow with Ease

20th September 1984, a little girl was born at a hospital in Raub City, Pahang
Darul Makmur. She is the first daughter to her parent, Mr Hadi and Mrs Zaitun. Her
name is Mizah. In 2002, she was accepted to studies in Institut Pendidikan Guru
Kampus Bahasa Antarabangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

She told me, not easy to be a teacher. She needs to does many assignments
during called as trainee teacher. She needs to sacrifices her rest time to does the
best in her study every day in every semester. These were happened because she
went to class in the morning like everybody else until afternoon. Then, she trains
netball in the evening at the campus field because she is a national netball player.
After Isya’, she does the homework until 3:00 to 4:00 am while the other people in
their sweet dreams. She had faced through the toughest life to be an English
teacher, her ambition.

After 5 years and half called ass trainee teacher, my sister succeeds to be a
real teacher. She posted by government to a school named Sekolah Kebangsaan
Riang Ria in capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. My sister shocked and admitted
be a real teacher is more challenges than be a trainee teacher. She had to face
many types of attitudes of students. Problem students always do bad things that will
break school’s rules. They always not finish their homework, play truant and bullying.
Besides, she had to control parent’s emotion just because their children punished by
their own fault. The parent pamper to their children too much. Furthermore, many
teacher were jealous with my sister success. So they try to end her carrier.
 Another challenge as a teacher is, she must sacrifice her time to spend with
family. After 4 years as a teacher, my sister married with a wonderful and lovely
man. So, she needs to divide the time between works with students and spend time
with family. In the morning, she meets student and treat them like her own child. She
must teach everything about life especially about subjects she plunged. After school
in the evening, she must treat her family, husband and her own children, like
cooking, washing clothes and be housekeeping. She will do the same thing at the
other day. But, she succeeds to goes through all the challenges and she know that
will give more experiences and makes her be more mature.

After 9 years work as a teacher, my sister called senior in the school among
teachers. All trainee teacher and newbie teacher learn from her in aspect education.
This is because she had faced many challenges and she success through the entire
problem. So, all her friend wants to take advice from her to live as a teacher forever.
From the start, people will get many problem and challenges in life. But if succeeds
to solve the challenges, it will be value experience and be mature to make decision
in life, also can be most important person and can give benefits to everyone. This is
we said, “A good timber does not grow with ease. The stronger the wind, the
stronger the tree”.
