By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to:

LEARNING OUTLINES:
1. Teacher refresh the pupils’ memory of previous lesson by pointing to the letters
Pre Lesson and ask the pupils to make the phonic sounds accordingly.

1. Teacher model the phonic sounds that the pupils are going to learn.
2. Pupils reproduce the sound with guidance from the teacher.
3. Teacher gives each group a set of 5 flashcards of the different phonic sounds.

4. Teacher makes the phonic sounds and the pupils lift up the flashcard that contains

5. Pupils listen carefully to the words read by teacher, discuss in group which phonic
sound it contains and lift up the correct flashcard.

1. Teacher reviews the lesson.


Post Lesson 2. Teacher gives remedial support to pupils who still cannot make the phonic sounds
correctly.
