Creating an Anaglyph with a Composite Image Elizabeth Harris

Step 1- Open new Photoshop. Set pixels at 1920x 1080 for landscape. You can change this before
exporting. Load two images that you want to combine, plus a background picture (File/Scripts/Load

scripts into stack/Browse/ok).

Note that the layer that is on top of the list will be in front, so adjust accordingly. To work on the back
image (not the background), click off eyeballs of other layers and highlight the layer you will work on.
Now click on lasso tool and draw around the part of the image you want to keep (or use the quick select
tool). Use eraser to trim if needed. Click Rectangle with circle in right corner to erase part you don’t
want.

Step 2- Click eye of front layer and adjust opacity to see both layers. Drag front layer to position using
the move tool. Lasso part you want to keep and click rectangle with circle (or use quick select tool).
Step three- Click off those layers and click on the background. Use move tool to adjust. Click Check. Add
the other two layers.
Step four- Start the anaglyph process: Make your new image the only layer. Make a copy of this layer by
dragging it to the folded paper icon, but before releasing the mouse, press option key on your keyboard.
In the dialogue box rename this layer 3D and click ok.
Step five-Click the fx icon and choose Blending options. Turn off the green and blue channels in dialog
box. Press ok. Verify action by clicking the eye on your background layer off. It should turn your image
red. Turn background layer back on.
Step 6- Offset the image to create our 3D effect. Click the move tool. Put on 3D glasses and use the left
arrow key on your keyboard to adjust the image to where you like it. You are done! Export your image.
