The factory is located in Oregun Industrial Estate, Ikeja, Lagos

Our professional managing crew handles a capacity of

30,000 tons of processed steel a year with an installed capacity of 72,000 tons.
Our work force : more than 300 qualified workers divided into 5 major departments
(PRODUCTION-MAINTENANCE-STORING-HANDLING-SECURITY)

Our production teams work with a variety of high standards machineries :

- 2 Slitting machines, for steel coils preparation
- 5 Tube mills, for a wide range of steel tube fabrication
- 2 Z-purlin machines, for roofing and structural purposes
- 1 Cutline, for customized steel sheets
- 2 Bending machines, for extending creative possibilities of tubes/pipes
Steel Tube Fabrication Process
Standard Pipes & HSS

• The term "Standard Pipe" refers to steel pipe manufactured for use in a wide
variety of applications that require strength, durability and ease of fabrication.

• The term Hollow Structural Sections (HSS) refers to high-strength welded steel
tubing used as structural elements in buildings and other structures and a variety
of manufactured products.

> The transformation of steel strip into hollow structural sections (HSS) or standard
pipes is the result of operations including forming, welding and sizing using the
Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) Process
Preparing the Steel Coils

> Steel sheets rolled in coils are the raw material used for making steel Tubes and HSS.
Available in various steel grades, dimensions, thicknesses and tonnages.

PREPARATION:
1. According to customers specifications, steel coils are picked from our stocks.
2. The heavy steel coil is then transported by a forklift to the Slitter machine.
3. The coil is then cut into several strips following dimensions formula.
4. The different steel strips or slits are now ready for transformation in the pipe mill.
Transforming Strips into Tubes

Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) Process

> In the tube mill, flat steel strip (1) is formed continuously around its longitudinal axis to
produce a round tube. This is done by moving the strip through a progressive set of rolls
(2-6). The strip edges (7) are heated by contact welding and then forged together by
weld rolls to create a continuous longitudinal weld without the addition of filler metal.
> The weld seam (8) is then cooled and processed through a set of sizing/shaping rolls
which cold-form it into a round (9), square (10) or rectangular (11) section, then cut to
the specific length.
Variety of Tubes
Once the transformation process is finished the pipes are arranged into bundles and stocked.
> Some samples are sent for further testing to the adequate official laboratories.
> According to the customers orders the tube bundles are ready to load in trucks for delivery

Benefits of using HSS
Here are some principal benefits that you can count on from the use of HSS in
construction and other applications:

• Strength - HSS has high strength-to-weight ratios, excellent compression support

characteristics and excellent torsional resistance.
• Appearance
In exposed applications, round, square and rectangular HSS becomes an exciting,
visual part of the design of buildings and other structures.
• Uniformity
HSS provides a uniformity of size, shape, strength and tolerances that makes its use
totally predictable.
• Ease of Fabrication
HSS can be readily bent, formed, punched and drilled. And new, improved methods
to fasten HSS to itself or to other materials are making its use simpler and faster.
• Cost Effectiveness
HSS is competitive in cost with other structural materials. And, with improved
connecting and fastening methods, it can often enjoy a cost advantage.
• Environmentally Friendly
HSS is made from steel, one of the world’s most recyclable and recycled materials
Applications
In recent years, HSS has experienced significant growth. Its flexibility has opened
up exciting new design concept: from airport terminals to shopping malls, office
buildings to domed stadiums, convention centers to residential housing.
Uses For HSS:
Buildings (commercial, industrial, institutional, residential) Sign/Lamp posts
Highway guardrails and signage Rack and storage systems
Support columns and trusses Exercise equipment
Bridges and walkways Transportation
Construction, agricultural and industrial equipment Stairs and handrails
On-going Projects
The company has to its credit sizable number of completed and on-going projects executed with its
products, here are some examples :
• Thousands of school desks and chairs, double bunks, and office chairs nationwide.
• Vono steel chairs and beds
• Murtala Mohammed Local Airport terminal (MM2)
• Scaffolding pipes used for the renovation of 1004 Estate and the New Ikeja City Mall and other
buildings
• All pipes used for street signs in Lagos State
• BRT Bus terminals
• Ilorin Central Mosque Dome
• Christ Embassy Church roof in Oregun, Ikeja
• Warehouses for JMG Generators built with our HSS, and others here and there.
• Steel sheets used for manufacturing oil drums, by Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Co. Ltd.
(A Subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation)
