This will open the Layer Style dialogue box, which shows blending options in the middle.
Underneath the Advanced Blending section look for the Channels option. There will be
checkboxes for R, G, and B here.
The checkboxes R, G, and B stand for red, green and blue. These primary colors when mixed
together make up all the colors that appear in the image. Photoshop mixes these primary colors
using channels.
We will need to turn off the green and blue channels on the 3D layer to create our 3D effect.
Make sure you have the 3D layer selected before you begin. Then uncheck G and B boxes by
unselecting them. The red channel should be the only one selected. Click Ok to close the box.
If you want to see what has happened you can unselect the visibility icon to hide the background
layer.
With the green and blue channels turned off the image only appears in red.
Click the visibility icon to turn the Background layer back on. This will show the full color
image again.
Step 5: Select the Move Tool
To create the 3D effect the image in the 3D layer needs to be offset from the image below it. To
do this you will need to select the Move Tool from the toolbar on the left of the screen.
As you move your image you will see red appear on the one side of the image and blue on the
other. Blue is the opposite of red in your 3D glasses so you will see that color appear on the other
side of the image. The further you move the image the thicker the lines of color will appear.
Adjust your image as you see fit. If there is an area of misalignment you can crop the image
using the crop tool on the left side of your screen.
Your final result should look something like this. When you are finished take a screen shot of the
final result and turn your image in on canvas.
