Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that ِ(good) which he has earned, and he
is punished for that ِ(evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our
Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us; our Lord! Put not on us a
burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You
are our Maula ِ(Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people. "

"Our Lord! You have not created ِ(all) this without purpose, glory to You! ِ(Exalted be You above all that
they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. *Our Lord! Verily,
whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zaalimoon ِ(polytheists
and wrong-doers) find any helpers. *Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one ِ(Muhammad
p.b.u.h.) calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. *Our Lord! Forgive us our sins
and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abraar
ِ(those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders). *Our Lord! Grant us what You promised
unto us through Your Messengers and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection, for You never break
ِ(Your) Promise." ِ(3/191-194)

DUAS for FORGIVENESS:

‫بربنبنآَ إننبنآَ بءبامنناَّ فباَّنغفرنر لبنباَّ صذصنوببنباَّ بو قرنباَّ بعبذا ب‬

Rabbana innanā amanna, faghfir lana, dhunoobana wa-qinna 'adhāāban-naar

Our Lord! We have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire.
[surah Ali' Imran; 3:16]

Subhāna Rabbina inna kunna dhalimeen
Glory to our Lord! Verily we have been doing wrong! [68:29]

Subhānaka tubtu ilaiyka wa 'ana awwal-ul mu'mineen

Glory be to Thee! To Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe. [surah al-A'raf, 7:143]

Allahumma-ghfir li dhanbi kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa awwalahu wa akhirahu, wa 'ala niyatahu wa
sirrahu

O Allah! Forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those
that are hidden. [Muslim 1:350]

Allahumma inni asaluka ya Allahu bi annakal Wahidul Ahadus-Samadul ladhi, lam ya-lid wa lam youlad,
wa lam yakullahu kufuwan Ahad, an taghfirali dhunoobi innaka Antal Ghafūūrur Raheem

O Allah! I ask You, O Allah, You are the One, the Only, Self Sufficient Master, who was not begotten and
begets not and non is equal to Him. Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving, Merciful.

Allahumma inni astaghfiruka li dhanbi wa as'aluka rahmatak

O Allah! I ask You for Forgiveness for my sins, and for Your Mercy.

‫طاَّيِباَّ ب‬
Allahummaghfirli khatāyaya wa dhunubi kullaha

O Allah! Forgive all my sins and omission’s.

Rabbana la tu'a-khidhna in-nasina aw akta'na, Rabbana wa la tahmil 'alaiyna isran kama hamaltahu
'alal-ladheena min qablina. Rabbana wala tuham-milna mala taqata-lana beh. Wa'fu-'anna, waghfir-
lana war hamna, Anta maulana fansurna 'alal qawmil kaafireen

Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou
didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our
sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us, Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against
Faith. [surah al-Baqarah; 2:286]

Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa
wa'dika mastata'tu, A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa Abu Laka
bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta

O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I
am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I
acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat
You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.)

Allahumma inni astaghfiruka li kulli dhambin,

O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for all my sins. I ask You to forgive me for all my wrongdoings against people that
You have recorded, for there are many rights and dues owed to Your servants that I am burdened with and for which
I am hostage. O Allah, even if these ِ(wrongdoings) are many they are insignificant in comparison with the
magnitude of Your forgiveness. O Allah, any male or female servant of Yours who has rights upon me, in either that
I have unjustly taken from him in regards to his land, possession, honor, body; whether he was absent or present; or
he or his representatives demanded it from me and neither was I able to return it to him nor did I seek release of it
from him. So I ask You through Your benevolence, generosity, and abundance of what You possess that You satisfy
them on my behalf, and not give them a position over me that will decrease my good deeds; for You possess what
You can satisfy them with on my behalf and I do not possess what to satisfy them with; and do not allow for their
bad deeds to find a path over my good deeds on the Day of Judgment.

DUAS OF THE PROPHETS:

1) Dua of Adam (A.S) to Allah in repentance:

ِ(7:23) ‫ظلبنمنباَّ بأنفصبسنباَّ بورإنِ لننم تبنغفرنر لبنباَّ بوتبنربحنمنباَّ لبنبصكونبنن رمبن انلبخاَّرسرريِبن‬
‫بربننباَّ ب‬

Rabbana thalamna anfusana wain lam taghfir lanawatarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena

"Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall
certainly be of the losers." Al-Qur'an, 007.023 (Al-Araf [The Heights])
2) Dua of Yunus (A.S) repenting to Allah in the belly of the whale:

ِ(21:87) ‫ت رمبن الظناَّلررميبن‬

‫ك إربنيِ صكن ص‬ ‫نل إرلبهب إرنل بأن ب‬
‫ت صسنببحاَّنب ب‬

la ilaha illa anta subhanaka innee kuntu mina alththalimeena

“La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You ِ(O Allah)], Glorified ِ(and Exalted) are You
[above all that ِ(evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers." Al-Qur'an, 021.087
(Al-Anbiya [The Prophets])

3) Dua of Ayyub (Job, A.S) after he was ill for many years:

annee massaniya alddurru waanta arhamu alrrahimeena

"Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy."Al-Qur'an,
021.083 (Al-Anbiya [The Prophets])

4) Dua of Ibrahim (Abraham (A.S)) for wisdom and piety:

Rabbi hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheena WaijAAal lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena

Wala tukhzinee yawma yubAAathoona Yawma la yanfaAAu malun wala banoona

Illa man ata Allaha biqalbin saleemin

26:83 My Lord! Bestow Hukman on me, and join me with the righteous;

26:84 And grant me an honourable mention in later generations;

26:85 And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight;

26:86 And forgive my father, verily he is of the erring;

26:87 And disgrace me not on the Day when ِ(all the creatures) will be resurrected;

26:88 The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail,

5) Dua of Ibrahim(Abraham (A.S) for forgiveness for his parents:

waarina manasikana watub AAalayna innaka anta alttawwabu alrraheemu

"Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You, and show
us our Manasik ِ(all the ceremonies of pilgrimage - Hajj and 'Umrah, etc.), and accept our repentance. Truly,
You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.” Al-Qur'an, 2.128 (Al-Baaqarah[The Cow])

7) Dua of Ibrahim(Abraham (A.S) and his followers to Allah when dealing with idol worshippers:

8) Dua of Musa (Moses, A.S) for any good:

9) Dua of the people of the Cave:

ِ(18:10) ‫ك برنحبمةة بوهبيبنئ لبنباَّ رمنن أبنمررنباَّ بربشةدا‬

‫بربننباَّ آترنباَّ رمن لنصدن ب‬

rabbana atina min ladunka rahmatan wahayyi lana min amrinarashadan

"Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!" Al-Qur'an,
18.010 (Al-Kahf [The Cave])

10) Dua of Yusuf (Joseph, A.S) for Allah to make him die as a muslim:

“The ِ(only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali ِ(Protector, Helper, Supporter, Guardian,
etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as a Muslim ِ(the one submitting to Your Will), and
join me with the righteous." Al-Qur'an, 12.101 (Yusuf [Joseph])

11)Dua of the new beleivers whom Pharaoh was threatening to torture for their belief:

‫بربننباَّ أبنفررنغ بعلبنينباَّ ب‬

ِ(7:126) ‫صنبةرا بوتببوفننباَّ صمنسلررميبن‬

“Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims." Al-Qur'an, 7.126 (Al-Araf [The

12) Dua of Musa (Moses, A.S) for good speech, when he was sent by Allah to Pharaoh:

rabbi ishrah lee sadree Wayassir lee amree Waohlul AAuqdatan min lisanee Yafqahoo qawlee

"O my Lord! Open for me my chest ِ(grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). "And ease my
task for me; "And make loose the knot ِ(the defect) from my tongue, ِ(i.e. remove the incorrectness from my
speech) "That they understand my speech,” Al-Qur'an, 20.025-28 (Ta Ha [Ta Ha])

13)Dua of Talut (Saul) and his army for victory over Jalut(Goliath) and his forces:

ِ(2:250) ‫صنرنباَّ بعبلىَ انلقبنورم انلبكاَّفررريِبن‬

‫ت أبنقبدابمنباَّ بوان ص‬ ‫بربننباَّ أبنفررنغ بعلبنينباَّ ب‬

14) Dua of Lut (A.S) to Allah for help :

15) Dua of Pharaoh's wife when she was being tortured by Pharaoh:

rabbi ibni lee AAindaka baytan fee aljannati

"My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise..” Al-Qur'an, 66.011 (Al-Tahrim [The Holding])

16)Dua of Shuaib (A.S) against his people:

rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheena

“Our Lord! Judge between us and our people in truth, for You are the Best of those who give judgment." Al-
Qur'an, 7.089 (Al-Araf [The Heights])

17) Dua seeking refuge from the shaytaan:

ِ(23:97) ‫ت النشيباَّرطيرن‬ ‫ب أبصعوصذ بر ب‬

‫ك رمنن هببمبزا ر‬ ‫نر ب‬

‫ب بأنِ يِبنح ص‬
ِ(23:98) ِ‫ضصرورن‬ ‫بوأبصعوصذ بر ب‬
‫ك بر ب‬

rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati alshshayateeni WaaAAoothu bika rabbi an yahdurooni

"My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings ِ(suggestions) of the Shayatin ِ(devils). And I seek
refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend ِ(or come near) me." Al-Qur'an, 23.097-98 (Muminun [The
Believers])

Thankfulness, worship and remembrance of Allah:

'Allahumma a'inni 'alaa dhikrika wa shukrika, wa husni 'ibadatika'
"O Allah, help me remember You, expressing gratitude to You and worship You in the best manner". [Abu
Dawud and An-Nasa'i]

Seeking protection from decline of favours:

‫اَلملفهمم ِطَاَننىِّ ِأكفعوفذ ِطَبكك ِطَمقن ِكزكواَطَل ِطَنقعكمطَتكك ِكوكتكحووطَل ِكعاَفطَكيِطَتكك ِكوففكجاَكءطَة ِطَنققكمطَتكك ِكوكجطَميِطَع ِ ك‬
‫سكخطَطكك‬
 O Allah! I seek Your protection from decline in Your favours and from withdrawal of Your
protection and from Your unforeseen punishment and from Your wrath of all sorts.

DUA - refuge from SHIRK:

Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika 'an 'ushrika bika wa 'anaa 'a'lamu, wa 'astaghfiruka limaa laa 'a'lamu

O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I associate anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness
for what I know not. Ahmad 4/403
DUA - refuge from NAFS:
Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoomu birahmatika 'astagheethu 'aslih lee sha'nee kullahu wa laa takilnee 'ilaa nafsee
tarfata 'aynin.
O Ever Living One, O Eternal One, by Your mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs.
Do not place me in charge of my soul even for the blinking of an eye. (Sahih), Al-Hakim 1/545

In the Name of Allah, Who with His Name nothing can cause harm in the earth nor in the heavens, and
He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Whoever recites it three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any calamity before evening, and
whoever recites it three times in the evening will not be overtaken by any calamity before morning."

Allaahumma anta rabbi laa ilaaha illa anta alaika tawakkaltu wa anta rabbul arshil kareemi ma shaa
Allahu kaana wamaa lam yasha`lam yakun wala haula wala quwwata illa billahil aliyil azeem
a`lamu annallaha alaa kulli shayin qadeer wa annallaha qad ahata bikulli shayin ilma Allaahumma innee
aaoozubika min sharri nafsi wa min sharri kulli daa abbatin anta aakhizum bina siyatihaa inna rabbi alaa

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You, I put my trust in You, You are the Lord of the Mighty
Throne. Whatever Allah wills will happen and what He does not will, cannot happen. There is no power
or strength except with Allah, the Exalted, the Mighty. I know that Allah has power over all things, and
Allah comprehends all things in knowledge. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the evil of myself and
from the evil of all creatures under Your control. Surely the straightway is my Sustainer’s way.

Allaahumma 'innee 'as'alukal-'afwa wal'aafiyata fid-dunyaa wal'aakhirati, Allaahumma 'innee

'as'alukal-'afwa wal'aafiyata fee deenee wa dunyaaya wa 'ahlee, wa maalee, Allaahum-mastur 'awraatee,
wa 'aamin raw'aatee, Allaahum-mahfadhnee min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfee, wa 'an yameenee, wa 'an
shimaalee, wa min fawqee, wa 'a'oothu bi'adhamatika 'an 'ughtaala min tahtee.

O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and Your protection in this world and the next. O Allah, I seek Your
forgiveness and Your protection in my religion, in my worldly affairs, in my family and in my wealth. O
Allah, conceal my secrets and preserve me from anguish. O Allah, guard me from what is in front of me
and behind me, from my left, and from my right, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your Greatness
from being struck down from beneath me. Sahih Ibn Majah 2/332 and Abu Dawud.

Allaahumma 'Aalimal-ghaybi wash-shahaadati faatiras-samaawaati wal'ardhi, Rabba kulli shay 'in wa

maleekahu, 'ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta, 'a'oothu bika min sham nafsee, wa min sharrish-shaytaani
wa shirkihi, wa 'an 'aqtarifa 'alaa nafsee soo'an, 'aw 'ajurrahu 'ilaa Muslim.

"O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the evident , Maker of the heavens and the earth , Lord of everything
and its Possessor , I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You . I seek refuge in You from
the evil of my soul and from the evil of Satan and his helpers. ِ(I seek refuge in You) from bringing evil
upon my soul and from harming any Muslim." [Sahih At-Tirmithi 3/142 and AbuDawud]

''Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter and save us from the torment of the

'' O Allah ! save me from the fire of Hell ''

Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika min 'athaabil-qabri, wa min 'athaabi jahannama, wa min fitnatil-mahyaa
walmamaati, wa min sharri fitnatil-maseehid-dajjaal.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hell-fire,
and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah. Al-Bukhari 2/102,
Muslim 1/412

For healthy body, good hearing & eyesight

Allaahumma 'aafinee fee badanee, Allaahumma 'aafinee fee sam'ee, Allaahumma 'aafinee fee basaree, laa
'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta ِ(three times).
"O Allah, make me healthy in my body. O Allah, preserve for me my hearing. O Allah, preserve for me
my sight. There is none worthy of worship but You." [Abu Dawud, Ahmad, Nasai]

For parents and all believers:

My lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous. (As-Saffat:100)

And peace be on the Messengers! And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin
