1. ACTIVITY A: Pupils read through the sentences 1-6 without writing any answers
and think about which of the expressions from the wordbank would complete
each one.
2. Pupils do the task individually and then compare answers with a partner.
3. ACTIVITY B: Pupils write a story called ‘A True Mystery.’ Pupils do the task

Answer contextual and HOTS questions correctly based on Chapter 1.
1. Recall what Chapter 1 is about.
ACTIVITIES 2. Work in pairs.
3. Discuss to answer all 15 questions by using their whole knowledge of the
chapter.
4. Pupils take turns to provide the answers on the whiteboard and check their
answers .

LESSON DEVELOPMENT : Lesson-50 minutes


1. Activity A: Pupils ask and answer questions in pairs about whether they are sociable and
popular.
2. Pupils take turns to ask and answer questions.
3.Activity B: Pupils read the instructions and sentences 1-6.
4. Pupils listen to the sentences and decide whether each one gives advice,an order or
makes suggestions.
** differentiation strategies 5. Pupils discuss their answers with a partner and check their answers.
6. Activity C: Pupils read the Exam Close Up
7. In groups, pupils brainstorm and list down at least 3 problems that the boy might have
for not being able to attend a birthday party.
8. Pupils work with a partner and talk about the problem together and decide which would
be best for Mark to do.
9. Each pair is asked to tell the class the solution to the problem and the reason why .

POST LESSON : Post lesson-5 minutes


Pupils write any structural mistakes that the pupils make on the board without saying who
made them.
