LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
M Write a 3 paragraph story about a girl who goes missing.
C Pupils read and understand the story and identify the main ideas.
1. ACTIVITY A: Pupils read through the sentences 1-6 without writing any answers
and think about which of the expressions from the wordbank would complete
each one.
2. Pupils do the task individually and then compare answers with a partner.
3. ACTIVITY B: Pupils write a story called ‘A True Mystery.’ Pupils do the task
** differentiation strategies individually and check answers as a class.
4. ACTIVITY C: Pupils look at the Learning Focus box to remind them about how a
story is organized.
