Professional Accomplishments
• Music Education
o Created a new ensemble (Select Choir) to allow students to sing in a small, advanced environment
▪ Provided opportunities for students in this ensemble to perform at various community and school events
o Arrange music for student performances
▪ Taught students how to write music to accompany a song for the winter concert
o Collaborated with music teachers in district to perform together and share tools to enhance classroom instruction
o Experience in writing curriculum for general music
▪ Taught a Professional Development class on 2 nd and 3rd grade curriculum
o Composed a new school song for the new mascot
o Assisted with North Brunswick’s Summer Music Camp
o Established a new music event at Parsons entitled “Music Café” to allow small groups of choral and instrumental students

o Designed new program for Character Education with the Guidance Counselor that assigns a super hero to each trait
▪ Produce a short promotional video for each hero to be featured each month
▪ With assistance from the Student Council, a video is created at the end of each trimester highlighting the character
traits from those months
o Established a school pep rally (in collaboration with the Dean) to get students motivated for the new school year
o Assist with International Night providing music and designing passports
