Dear Human Resources,

I am very pleased to be writing to you about my interest in Temecula Valley Unified School
District, as a position as a Special Education Teacher. My name is Jamie Cornejo, and I have
always wanted to pursue a career in Special Education. After looking and researching into
Temecula Valley Unified School District, I have come across this position and would be honored
to be able to work as a Special Education Teacher at one of your prestigious Elementary
Schools, and help better the learning environments for the students, by providing proper
resources and support that they need. I strongly believe in what the district stands by and
believe that I can be a great asset to the educational community.

I have received a Bachelors in Educational Studies from Arizona State University, where I
focused on Family and Child Development. I am also a credentialed Special Education Teacher
with the State of California. I have also had experience in the field, by working as an
Instructional Aide at Springs Charter School, in Riverside, CA. There I worked in Special
Education, working with students from 6th to 12th grade. I have also interned with Make-A-Wish
OCIE, where I had the privilege to work with the MAW Staff to find resources to help grant
wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. I have the passion to help students make a
better tomorrow, by teaching them and inspiring them to become their highest potential. The
future depends on young people and it is our duty to provide them with the highest level of
education. With a passion for helping students, I know that, Temecula Valley Unified School
District is the place for me.
