(a) "Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the
National Commission;
(b) "Member" means the Member of the
National Commission appointed under sub-
section (2) of Section 3 of the Ordinance;
(c) "National Commission" means the National
Human Rights Commission constituted under

(d) "Ordinance" means the Protection of Human
Rights Ordinance (Ord. 30 of 1993);

3. Salaray : There shall be paid to :
(a) the Chairperson, a salary which is equal to
the salary of the Chief Justice of India;
