Checks at RBS:
The types of TX-HS boards which support the EUL are TX6HS-03, TX6HS-04, TX6HS-06.
The numEulResources should be set to value 1 in one of the TX6HS boards of the RBS to enable EUL. If
numEulResources is set to 1 then numHsCodeResources must be greater than 0 on at least one
TxDeviceGroup MO within the same baseband pool (possible values in P7 MOM are 0 to 1). The TXHS board is
restarted if the configuration requires new loading of TXB which could affect to the traffic of the corresponding
cells, cause of the automatic restart of the board while changing values.
The wrongly configured steeredHsAllocation could also prevent the HS and therefore the EUL to become active. If
steeredHsAllocation is set to true, then the hsCodeResources needs to be enabled in RbsLocalCells by setting
hsCodeResourceId to values between 1 and 6. The value must not exceed the sum of numHsCodeResources in all MO
TxDeviceGroup of the baseband pool.
If the steeredHsAllocation is set to false, there isn’t need for configuring hsCodeResourceIds on RbsLocalCell.
When checking the EULs at RNC side, first thing is the print of the existing utrancells and their corresponding
channels and check whether the EUL is configured. The print below it can be easily discovered that EUL is
created for carrier two.
Possibly missing IubEdch can be created by using MoShell with the create command.
Example Edch creation: cr RncFunction=1,IubLink=Iub_IUB_NAME,IubEdch=1
