A Summary Response Essay on The Solar System

This text entitled “The Solar System” was written by Jeff Fennel and published in
study.com on January 31st , 2018. It discuses the formation and the elements in the solar system.
The solar system has inner solar system and outer solar system as the object of the solar system.
Possibility the text is incomplete because most information of the text does not explain detailed
information about the solar system such as the text does not explain why mercury and venus
have not natural satellites. So there are several reasons why it is incomplete.
The text gives a very brief description about natural satellites of mercury and venus even
though according to the space agency of united states NASA (Williams, 2016) mercury and
venus have not a gravitational pull powerfull enough to hold else in orbit around itself. That is
why mercury and venus have not natural satellites it can also be caused a pull powerfull
gravitational of the sun, the sun’s orbit would disturb the satellites, that caused the satellites fall
into sun.
The text just conceive prevalent science about the solar system particulary about the inner
solar and the outer solar system. The text just explained that inner solar system has smaller size
and mass, higher density (rocks and metal), solar surface, few moons, and rings closer to the sun
and the outer solar system has large size and mass, lower density (hydrogen), no solid surface ,
rings and many moons. Meanwhile the text can be devalop into more detail due to according to
the space agency of united states NASA ( Thompson and Shekhtman, 2016) the inner planet has
higer density because only consists rocks and metal, its density can affected how massive a
planet. The inner planet has not strong gravitational pull then the gravitational of the sun. The
gravitational of the sun will pull all the objects arround it include the natural satellites of the
inner palnet only earth and mercury have natural satellites due to earth and mars have
considerable distance and strong pull garvitational, meanwhile the outter planet has lower
density because only consists hydrogen and hellium, its density can affected how massive a
planet. The outter planet has strong gravitational pull because the distance far to the sun, so the
gravitational of the outter planet will pull all the objects arround it. That caused the outter planet
has many moons such as jupiter has 79 moons and also has the biggest moon in our solar system,
ganymede is the biggest moon in jupiter, due to the addition to the text, the text explain detile
information about the inner solar system and the outter solar system those all make the reader
know why the inner solar system has smaller size and mass.
The text is also ineffective because the text repeat the thing discussed in the previous
paragraph to the text next paragraph such as in fourth paragraph the text explain about the solar
system consists of eight planets, four inner and four outter. The inner planet are composed
primarily of rock and a solid surface and are also referred to as the terrestrial planets. The outer
palnets are also known as giants ad much larger than the terristrials. The same thing also thing
also explained that in fifth paragraph and seventh paragraph. Fifth paragraph explained the
innner planet has samaller size and mass, higher density( rocks and metals), solid surface, few
moons, and rings closer than sun, and in seventh paragraph explain the outer planet has large size
and mass, lower density (hydrogen and hellium), no solid surface, rings and many moons. Those
make the text ineffective the author must eliminate one of these, so this text will be effective and
easy for reader to understand.
To sum up, this text could have been better presented with additional information related
to this text, the text explain a brief description of the natural satellites of venus and marcury. This
text also expalins the general description of the solar system, especially about the inner planets
and the outer planets so that this text needs to be added to make it complete, NASA explains
venus and marcury have not natural stellites it can also be caused a pull powerfull gravitational
of the sun, it becomes an explanatio to complete this text. This text also repeted the thing
discaused in previous paragraph, to the next paragraph, so this text mus also also elliminate
informatio on that is repeted.
