2 Fallback Based on Configuration Steps

Application scenario: Live network data is not reconfigured after the forward script is activated,
and fallback needs to be performed on the data in a planned data area.
Method: When exporting the modification script, the CME generates a fallback script. When
creating an activation project, the CME creates a fallback project.

NEs except the BSC and GBTS and all reconfiguration scenarios support fallback.

3 Fallback Based on Backup Data

Application scenario: Configuration data at a certain time has been saved from the current data
area to a fallback data area, and the live network data needs to be quickly restored to the status
at the time.
After the data rollback, all data changes made on the CME, through the NBI, on the U2000, and
on NEs since the time when the fallback data area is created are restored.
Operation portal: CME > Fallback Area > Fallback Area Management.

Activate the fallback script in the reverse sequence of

activating the forward script. For example, if the
sequence of activating the forward sequence is 1 -> 2
-> 3, the sequence of activating the fallback script is 3'
-> 2' -> 1' (' indicates the fallback script).

You are advised to observe whether the effect meets your expectations after acti-
vating a forward script, and perform the fallback if the effect does not meet your
expectations.
If you have reconfigured a data record after the forward script is activated, ensure
that the configuration of this data record is consistent with the expected configura-
tion during the fallback.
