User-defined Alarm

Why you need it?


If a fault occurs in an NE environment, such as unnormal
temperature, smoke, water,various network exceptions occur.

What is it?
User-defined alarms are defined based on the NE environ
-ment.

You need to bind the user-defined I want to pay

When the monitoring device detects that the environment is abnormal,


the NE generates alarms in real time and reports the alarms to the U2000.

How do I use it?


Users can add user-defined alarms on the U2000 and then deliver
them to NEs so that they can take effect. Users can also add user
-defined alarms on NEs and then add the corresponding alarm de
-finitions on the U2000.

Setting on the U2000


Application scenarios:
1. The NE supports remote configuration and monitoring personnel are familiar
with NE environment monitoring.
2. Batch operations are required.

On the U2000 client, add the IDs, names, and severities of user-defined
1 alarms and save them to the U2000 database.

2 Deliver the alarms to NEs and bind them to specific NE ports and slots.
Set the mechanism for triggering user-defined alarms and activate the
3 alarms.

2. Environment monitoring needs to be set for NEs one by one.

On the U2000 client, add the IDs, names, and severities of the
2 corresponding user-defined alarms and save them to the U2000
database.

Center and choose Alarm Settings >NE Alarm lsetting.

Some NEs do not support the remote setting function. This menu
is not available to these NEs.
