Before we proceed to our next topic, let us
have a review first regarding to our last topic.

So, Who among you still remember our last

topic? Pupil: Our last topic is all about identifying and
Yes, ______________________ . describing triangles.

Vey Good !

Can you define what is triangle __________! (The Pupils will raise their hands and answer)
Pupil: A triangle is a polygon with three sides and
three angles.
Your correct ___________.
What are those triangles according to their sides? Pupil: An equilateral triangle, Isosceles triangle and
Good Answer! scalene triangles.
How about triangles according to their angles?
Pupil: Right triangle, acute triangle and obtuse
Very Good! triangle.
b. Drill (Who Am I)
Class, This drill is what we called who am I
wherein as I read the questions in the
screen you will give me the correct answer.
Understand!
Are you ready?
Pupils: Yes, Sir!
1. I have an exact location in space. I am
represented by a dot. Who Am I?

(The pupils will raise their hands)

Yes _________ What is your answer?
Pupil: The answer is point Sir.
Very Good!
2. I Have no endpoint and I can go on and on in
opposite directions. Who Am I?

Yes _________ What is your answer?

Pupil: My answer is line Sir.
Good answer _________.
3. I start out at a point and can be extended in
one direction. Who Am I?

Yes _________ What is your answer?

You got it right _____________. Pupil: I think the answer is ray Sir.
4. I am a part of line with two endpoints.
Who am I?
Yes _________ What is your answer? Pupil: Sir, My answer is line segment.
Very Good!
Yes Sir!
c. Motivation(Game)
Class, do you want to play a game? Yes Sir.

We will have a game called “Four Pics and

One Word ”.

Class, Are you familiar with this game?

Yes Sir.

(Mechanics)
Now, In this game we need three groups.
Row one is group 1, Row two is group 2 and
last row is group 3. Each members in a group
can answer and every correct answer will have
a 5 points and the group will have a higher
points would be the winner.

Are you ready?

Yes Sir.
(The teacher will show the “Four Pics and one
word”)

(The Pupils will raise their hands and answer by

guessing the word correspond to every pictures)

Thank you class for the participation and let us
give a VERY GOOD clap for the winning.

on the screen and call one pupil to read
the problem situation. Then, the
teacher will read again the problem
followed by some questions to the
pupils)

Ask:
What did the children prepare? Pupil: The pupil prepared some cutouts of different
kinds of quadrilaterals.
Good answer!
What are different quadrilaterals they
prepared? Pupil: The different quadrilaterals they prepared are
square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, and lastly
Very good! parallelogram.
What did they do after preparing the
cut outs? Pupil: after preparing the cutouts they used to clean
their place wherein they do the different kinds of
You got it right! quadrilaterals.

Now, I will discuss to you the different

kinds of quadrilaterals and their
meanings.
A Quadrilateral is a polygon with four
sides and four right angles.
(Different Kinds of Quadrilaterals will
be post in the board.)
A Square is a parallelogram that has
four equal sides and four right angles.
A Rectangle is a parallelogram that has
four right angles. Its opposite sides are
equal.
A Parallelogram has two pairs of
parallel sides and its opposite sides are
equal.
A Trapezoid has only one pair of
opposite sides that are parallel.
A Rhombus is a parallelogram that has
four side.
Say:
looking at the different quadrilaterals on the board,
we have observed that quadrilaterals is a polygon with
four sides and four angles , it can be classified as a
square, a rhombus, a rectangle, a parallelogram and a
trapezoid.
Ask: When we compare a square and a
rectangle what is common to both figures? Pupil: For me, the common between square and
Very good! rectangle is the four edges that made them to build.

How they ate different?

Good answer! Pupil: They are different through the measurement
and space occupied of ones quadrilaterals.
Compare a square and rhombus. Is
there a commonly between the two Pupil: As for me my observation in the two shape is
figures? they have a common because the measurement is
both the same, the rhombus is just rotated unlike the
square is just still.
Compare a rhombus and a rectangle
How they are different? Pupil: They are different through their length and
height as it illustrated.
All of your answer is awesome . Very Good, Class!
Class do you have any other questions?
And now, Let us proceed to group activity.
2. Group Activity (We do)
Since you don’t have any question
regarding to our topic. I will group you
into four.

(The teacher will group them into four

and place them wherein they will do
their group activity)

rules in performing group activity? Follow the instruction.
Share your ideas with your group mates.
(Each group will be given an envelope
wherein inside the envelope is a pieces
of puzzle that they need to combine it
together and paste on illustration
board in order to answer the given
questions.)

(The teacher will flash on the screen

the example for the activity)

Class, You may start now and I’ll give

you 5 minutes to finish your work.

Time’s up Everybody go back to your

proper sit .

Okay, Group 1 reporter kindly present

your output.
(Pupils will present their work)
Thank you group 1.

Now, May I call on Group 2 reporter to

discuss your work.
(Pupils will present their work)
Thank you group 2.

Next, Group 3 reporter you may now

present your work.
(Pupils will present their work)
Thank you group 3.
How about group 4 reporter? Please
come forward.
(Pupils will present their work)
Okay, Class thank you for your all
cooperation .

Give yourself a “Bravo Clap”

3. Independent ( You do)

Class, Kindly bring out your “Show Me
Boards” and each one of you will
Identify and draw the figures for the
following questions about different
kinds of quadrilaterals.
