CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background
There are two kinds of bank in Indonesia, state bank and private bank. State bank is
generally a financial institution that is chartered by a state, like Mandiri bank, BNI (Bank
Negara Indonesia), BRI (Bank Rakyat Indonesia) and BTN (Bank Tabungan Negara).
Private bank is owned by either the individual or a general partner with limited partner,
such as Bukopin bank, CIMB Niaga bank and many more. This report is focuses on
private bank, Bank Sinarmas Kupang that located in Oesapa, Kota Kupang, Nusa
Tenggara Timur.

CONTENT
In Sinarmas Bank there are 3 tellers and 1 customer service. Each of them did their task
to do transaction and other task. Based on what are we observe on Thursday, 28 march
2019, these are what people do at Sinarmas Kupang :
Teller 1 is talking with the customer and asking for her account book. Then the
customer is giving her money to saving in her account. So the teller helps the
customer to deposit money.
Teller 2 is counting money use money counter and packing it in a bunch.
Teller 3 is taking a loan payment from the customer, and then typing the date of
payment and debt.
Customer service is explaining about the bank and the requirement to be a bank
customer. Such as, someone must have document of identity like identity card, the
first deposit is money is up to Rp.50.000 and someone can pawn her or his pawn of
goods to open an account.
CONCLUSION
Bank is a financial institution that is licensed to deal with money and its aims to accepting
time and demand deposits, making loans, and investing in securities. The bank generates
profits from the difference in interest rates charges and paid. Sinarmas bank is a good enough
to provided everything about banking activities. From the content, the service there might be
a little restrict because the bank management is not openly to observation but for the entire
work is not bad.
