Vaccinations have saved the live of million, maybe billions of lives throughout the
history of the world. Without vaccinations there is a possibility that the world could have ended
in the early centuries of the civilized world. Without the proper vaccinations millions today
could die and there is plenty of history to back this up. Now all the rage is not not vaccinate your
kids based on false information and thousands of children are at risk because of this.
Vaccinations should be mandatory to every child and I believe there should be national laws
enforcing this.
But first, knowing the history of not having vaccinations maybe help you see the
potential dangers of not vaccinating your kids. The Black Death or also known as Bubonic
Plague. It is estimated to killing 75 to 200 million people in 1347 to 1351. It killed 30% to 60%
of Europe's population at the time. Most infected with the disease would die in two to seven
days after the first infection. In those times there was nothing they could do for you once you had
contracted the disease, it was a literal death sentence. If this does not scare you I do not know
what will.
There are lot of vaccinations used today to combat many different diseases. Such as
smallpox, Whooping cough, Measles, mumps, chicken pox, Influenza, Rotavirus, shingles,
Yellow fever, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, The Flu, Polio, and Rabies just to name a few off the top
of my head. Getting these vaccinations could very well save your kids life, Medical technology
has allowed your child to be protected against more diseases that ever thought
possible.Vaccinations are now more safe than ever before, side effects are a thing of the past and
allergic reactions are extremely rare and can be worked around in those certain special cases.

Vaccinations can be and are used as a piece of mind for parents all over the United States
Vaccinations protect your family and loved ones from things that you cannot protect them from
yourself. With vaccinations terrible plagues in the past are now just that, things of the past.
Vaccines have limited or eliminated diseases that in the past have ran rampant and killed or
disabled thousands and millions of people. The World Health Organization in 1979 declared
smallpox globally eradicated, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that
same year proclaimed polio eradicated in the United States. ( Why are vaccines so important?
vox.com) With the continuation on mass vaccinations it enables future generation to be immune
and not have to worry because some diseases will be completely wiped out. Only through
vaccinating your kids we can achieve this safer tomorrow we hope for.
Yet, there are people refusing to vaccinate their kids for multiple reason. One main
argument by “Anti-vaxxers” is that some vaccines cause autism. Just to clear the air, there is no
scientific evidence anywhere that shows a link between the two. Vaccines are extremely safe and
easily of the best advancement in modern medicine. Vaccines are only as effect as the amount of
people to have gotten them. The more people who have them them the less likely the disease will
are nothing short of a miracle, without them there very well could not a human race. The
argument to not vaccinate your kids is weak and has no facts to back it up. Not vaccinating your
kids is extremely dangerous and down right idiotic. Vaccinations are nothing short of a modern
marvel and need to be mandatory for every single child in the United States and hopefully the
world. I urge you to think about your children’s life and others around you but most importantly
