Course Title : CONFLICT OF LAWS

2ND SEM – SY 2018-2019

I. Course Description:

The course deals with the legal transactions with emphasis on the choice of law,
which includes problems on jurisdiction and recognition and enforcement of foreign
judgements, including relevant laws, jurisprudence and bar trends to prepare the law
students in the bar examinations.

This course covers the scope, sources, nature and definition of Conflict of Laws,
Jurisdiction and Choice of Law, Choice of Laws problems on Family Relations; Property;
Wills, Succession and Administration of Estates; Contracts; Corporations and other
juridical entities; Torts and Crimes; and Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign
Judgment which shall be reviewed and discussed.
