Make a database for steel truss, wood truss and flat (concrete slab) roofing for the same floor
area of 7.5 sq.m. Consider materials, manpower and program of work. Use actual/present prices
of materials and rates of manpower. Equipment is not necessary.
Presuming that finance or budget is not a constraint, answer the following questions based on
your stablished data:

manpower cost of ₱ 5,800.00
- The cheapest in terms of manpower cost is the Concrete Slab Roofing with a total
manpower cost of ₱ 1,950.00
- The fastest to construct is the Concrete Slab Roofing with a total of 2 working days.
- The most expensive in terms of total construction cost is the Steel Truss Roofing with a
total construction cost of ₱ 44,482.50
- The cheapest in terms of total construction cost is the Concrete Slab Roofing with a
total construction cost of ₱ 15,126.25
8. Which will last the longest? Support your answer. Indicate reference.
- The Steel Truss will last the longest because Wood Truss and Concrete Slab Roofing
are more likely to age more quickly than Steel Truss; Wood Trusses are prone to termite
infestation while Concrete Slab Roofing is prone to weathering which causes the concrete
to crack or weakens as it ages. While the Steel Truss is not prone to these causes.
