of Lyn in STIC examination to get money by leaking the questions and answers of the examination in
order to support his poverty-living family.

What ethical actions based on the Golden Rule would you have taken if you were in his/her shoes?
People try to embrace the moral principle known as the ‘Golden Rule’, otherwise known as the ethic
of reciprocity, which means we believe that people should aim to treat each other as they would like
to be treated themselves such as with tolerance, consideration and compassion. It is a simple and
clear default position for moral decision-making.

Based on the movie, the ethical action if I in the villain’s place is I would be more responsible in
achieving my own goals and visions instead of using other people for our own self interest. We should
not take granted for other people kind as it is not ethical. Imagine if other people use us in achieving
their own interest, we would feel burden and unjust. Next, I would apply the honesty in my life. For
example, when taking the examination, I would use my own knowledge or double my effort in study
instead of cheating in examination. When we being honest, then we can reflect where is the level in
achieving our target so that we improve our effort and feel confident. Besides, it is ethical and noble
when we are doing right thing even though there is no people watching our action. Therefore, we can
respect other people right and dignity. For example, when we get good result in examination from
cheating, we would take other people right such as university quota for other student who is more
opportune. Vice versa, when we get good result by being honest in taking examination, we will
respect other people and our education system and also being more proud in getting the result.

Cite the feelings of remorse/guilt/shame that you would feel as the Villain.

If I were the villain, I would certainly feel shame and guilt of the action that I did. For example, in the
movie, Pat shamelessly follow his lust in achieving his goal on passing the STIC examination in any way.
Pat dishonor himself by forcing Bank to be the partner of Lyn in leaking the question and answer of
STIC examination. Even though Bank rejected the Pat’s offer at the first place, Pat was paying the thug
to beat Bank at the night before the Bank’s scholarship interview. Next, I would feel remorse of the
action. For example, I would feel guilty when Lyn got caught when she tried to share her answers for
her classmates which Lyn is the only one who take the responsible which is unjust. They should be
shame and confess their wrongdoings in order of being responsible for their wrong action.
