Self-Reflection
Cardiology interests me, the heart is a fascinating organ. Also, cardiologists won’t run
out of work anytime soon, considering heart disease is the number 1 killer in America,
and as the obesity rate gets higher, more and more people will face heart issues. The
salary can range from 160k to 500k, which is not terrible at all. One drawback to this
career is the long hours, and irregular schedule.

I would not enjoy this job. For one, it is stressful, providing incorrect results could lead
to, for instance, someone being wrongly convicted of murder. The job outlook isn’t
great, but the pay is substantial. I don’t think this job would be a good fit for me.

SELF REFLECTION
I would not pursue this career, the stress of keeping someone alive and calm would be
immense, and the guilt that I would feel if a patient died would be too great. The long
and irregular hours are also an issue as I would prefer to have stable hours.
