Let the students read basic concepts about western culture influence.
A. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
Ask students about the different musical forms that had exist during the
different periods of western culture.
2. Analysis
What was the activity all about ?
What have you observed?
3. Abstraction
What factors are presented in the making of various musical forms during
this period?
Identify characteristics of common songs/ music forms during the Baroque
period.
Have the students listen to the different music genres of Baroque music.
After listening: How were the music used during this period? What was the
relevance of these music towards the culture of western Europe?
What benefits can one derive from knowing some of these music genres of
baroque period?
4. Application
Group the students accordingly and let them look/identify for other songs
which were originally composed during the Baroque period. It could have
been used as background music in certain movies, commercial and other
media purposes.
What important influences was made or passed on by western people in
relation to music culture?
