*Happy Spring Break Families! We have no school Apr il 12 t h , 2 019
next week, April 15-19, as well as no school on
Monday, April 22nd! I will see you back on campus on
Tuesday, April 23rd. We had a busy and fun-filled
week in second grade. We planted seeds, practiced Important Dates:
measurement- inches and centimeters and comparing
measurements, and performed, read, and watched the
Lorax in honor of this month’s core value and Earth April 15-April 22
Day. Spring Break
*Items due after break include:
No School
• A large tri-fold (think science fair) poster
for our biodiversity unit project. These large
posters will be on display for Open House! April 24 th
• $10 cash in the provided envelope for your
student’s class shirt. All of second grade will Westlake Charter High School Town
be wearing this shirt for our last day of Hall Meeting 6:00 PM
school and possibly more since we are ordering
early this year. To check out the shirt design

• Spring Picture Day! There will be free dress Natomas 5K- free to all Westlake
on Friday, April 26th for Spring Pictures, students!
Only students that have prepaid AND filled
out the form in our weekly emails will be sent
to the photographer to have their picture
taken.
*Meet Up at Natomas 5K: Already signed up
for the Natomas 5K? Plan to meet us at 8:00 AM
near registration on April 27th for a group photo
and Westlake swag. Look for the Westlake flag.

*Missoula Theater Company- All students are
welcome to audition for the company’s production of
Gulliver’s Travels. The performances will be held at
our school on Saturday, May 18th! Check out the links Contact Mrs. Morgan
