JOB TITLE : Manager, Project Accounting & Analysis (Major Projects)

JOB PURPOSE:
: Review and analyse overall project financial evaluation and project
accounting to ensure optimal project return and effective project
analysis whilst ensuring adherence to Group policies and prevailing
statutory requirements.

DIMENSIONS:
Financial Perspective:
Estimated 5 years CAPEX of USD3.5 billion & annual cash revenue of USD700 million

Organization Perspective:
Direct Report : 2 Executives, 1 Non Executive

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Project Financial Evaluation (Project Economics)
Manage, review and analyse financial and economic evaluation for potential major projects (Market
Survey Questionnaire (MSQ), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Proposals, Invitation to Bid (ITB), etc.) to
facilitate strategic decision-making and resource optimization. Ensure effective project structure to
optimize return by analyzing cash flow funding, tax structure, compliance and projection.

Budgeting
Support the development and monitoring of the annual 5-year budget / forecast for OBU to ensure
optimal resource allocation within OBU.

Project Financing/ Cash Flow Reporting


Review cash flow projection and provide other financial information with regards to the project to
treasury/external lenders for cash flow reporting and financing exercise during project execution
(construction).

Contract Negotiation
Manage and review information/ input in relation to financial matters in contract negotiations.

People Development
Develop, motivate and coach subordinates to develop capabilities within the team

KEY CHALLENGES:
 Ensuring all projects assumptions (including operational cost, tax, financing, company structure,
etc.) are captured in the financial evaluation model.
 Comprehending the technical / legal aspects of contracts as well as the technical aspect of
financing, tax and cross-countries financial structure & compliance.
 Producing project economics evaluation within short turnaround time

EXPERIENCE:
At least 15 years of relevant working experience in accounting, audit, or finance.

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
