PENN STATE COMMUNITY CENTER FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
Advocate and Team Leader: June 2018 – Present
 Partnered with the University Park Undergraduate Association, Student Disability Resources,
and Educational Equity to establish a community center for students with disabilities
 Project approval for the center and in the process of confirming spaces

PENN STATE CAMPUS ACCESSIBILITY


Advocate and Team Leader: July 2017 – March 2018
 Partnered with the UPUA and Transportation Services to fund a $24,500 project to install
seven benches along the on-campus A.D.A. accessible bus route
 Partnered with the UPUA and Housing & Food Services to develop a program that provides
accessible dining options to students with disabilities who navigate the on-campus dining halls

Founder and President: January 2014 – April 2016
 Founded the fellowship club and mentorship program for students with disabilities
 Served as a liaison between the organization and Student Disability Resources, led the
executive board, and oversaw the mentorship program

 Presented an educational and motivational speech on the importance of self-advocacy as it
relates to one’s disability and goals

students with disabilities and shared ways that Penn State can achieve this goal

PENN STATE “ALL IN CAMPAIGN”


Student Advocate: April 2016 – February 2017
 Chosen to represent students with disabilities in a university-wide initiative aimed to promote
diversity, inclusion, and multicultural advocacy in the university community
 Featured on President Barron’s monthly television show, “Digging Deeper: Inclusivity” to
discuss the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education

 Presented on how I led the formation of Wings and shared my strategic plans for fostering

PENN STATE PARENTS PROGRAM
Graduate Assistant: August 2017 – May 2019
 Respond to family crises and facilitate resources and support to families and their students
 Created the office’s first student intern program and supervise 11 diverse students in project
teams, volunteer activities, professional development, and in the planning of events
 Oversee the recruitment, training, and volunteer efforts of 65 Parent Ambassadors
 Plan and execute large-scale events such as Parents and Families Weekend, Parent and Family
Orientation, and Welcome Programs
 Generated two assessments and reviewed and analyzed the data to improve Parents and
Families Weekend and the Parents Program’s responsible alcohol use intervention strategies
 Manage and coordinate the office’s email newsletters, blog, and social media

 Supervised a residence hall floor of 72 diverse undergraduate students
 Mediated conflict and provided individual and group counseling to students in crisis
 Responded to safety and emergency response calls for 800 students during biweekly duty
 Enforced University policy and regulations
 Inducted into the National Residence Hall Honorary in December of 2015

IRELAND: CULTURE AND DISABILITY


Study Abroad Program Participant: May 2015 - June 2015
 Attended the International Disability Summer School at NUI Galway where I worked with
individuals from across the globe in workshops aimed at addressing laws and policies that
ensure or inhibit the rights of people with disabilities
