Alhamdulillah first of all I would like to thank Allah S.W.T as finally I was able to finish
my assignment that have been given by my English Language Proficiency (MPUB3022)
lecturer names, Madam Hamidah binti A.Karim. This task had been done with all my afford
even though I a little bit problem were happened while I doing this assignment. Luckily, all the
problems can be settle down and and I was able to adapt this situation properly and wisely.

Besides that, big thanks I pointed to my lecturer, Madam Hamidah binti A.Karim
because without her guides my coursework cannot be done properly like this. She always
support and guide to my classmates and I how to do our assignment in purpose to produce a
good outcome from research that had been studied. Topic that had been chosen by me was

On the other hand, big thanks also I address to my parents Mohd Sabri and Rahimah

Do apps help you or just waste your time?

An application (apps) is a software developed specifically for use on small, wireless


computing devices, such as smartphones and tablets, rather than desktop or laptop
computers. Mobile apps were designed with consideration for the demands and constraints of
the devices and to take advantage of any specialized capabilities they have. Mobile apps are
sometimes categorized according to whether they are web-based or native apps, which are
created specifically for a given platform. A third group, hybrid apps, combine elements of both
native and web apps. As the technologies mature, it's expected that mobile application
development efforts will focus on the creation of browser-based, device-agnostic web
applications. Tens of thousands of apps for private and business users represent a huge slice
of the market whose values is estimated in billions of dollars. This essay will discuss
advantage and disadvantage of apps.

"Most of the apps are free, and they provide feeds from hundreds of news sources
geared to interests. Education is another challenge that application developers handled
successfully. Parents rely on their tablets when they want to introduce their children to the
world of knowledge without confusing the user with a large stack of text and their definitions
are hard to understand. Educational apps are among the biggest beneficiaries of the resulting
generation through the use of modern technologies. Learning through the application process
is not based on traditional pedagogical elements present in the classroom. Therefore, students
are free to estimate their own capabilities and access materials related to their current level of
skill and knowledge. For example dictionary app builds your vocabulary and you can be part
of the app that can improve speaking and writing skills in various languages. Hence, they can
upgrade skills as they make progress through other courses and educational content provided
by the app developer. Language learning in particular, has become much more efficient and
better understand the present and to learn different languages.

Next, apps also a place to develop a virtual business empire around the world. For
example, with Facebook users can introduce the latest product from their company or
business to friends online Facebook, and your friends will tell their friends to another through
ad tags. Facebook any promotion can be done quickly. The use of English also facilitates
communication between friends around the world. It also can improve skills in English. Every
time we go to the Facebook page, the home page will provide us with what's new about anyone
who has become our friend. So we will be able to know everything that our partners do. Thus,
the relationship between this friendship will continue to exist and uninterrupted. Each new
about ourselves will also be featured on the main page of Facebook. With this capability,

spreading the news to Facebook easier and more efficient for all our friends will read it. If they
find something of interest they will give action or response, then the response action or they
will be seen also on their Facebook page.

In addition, some apps are very helpful because they can save the cost of using your
mobile phone credit or smart phones because they can be used to send as many messages
to your friends. Users of these types of application can also send a direct message to his
colleagues without having specialized messaging to his friends. Through this application,
users can also share pictures, songs, and videos for friends or family members. The app
allows users to share events and memories with family members are also friends. Benefits of
this application is an order sent by the user to recipients will still be up to the receiver which,
when a user sending a message to a friend using a mobile phone is likely the message will
not reach the intended recipients. For example, WhatsApp's, Wechat and Telegram is a app
that help high school students want to make discussions with a group of friends or a reunion
possible through one friend in the group will experience a delay in the meeting or is not present
then this will impair the discussion. But this application using a group of friends will not have
reason to be absent or late in discussions through the application WhatsApp's.

However, if I am not careful, it wastes my time the use of social networking sites led
young people to be negligent in performing a particular task. The variety of applications like
games that are in this social being able to attract users of apps. This causes the user to be
careless and inattentive to enhance their productivity. Furthermore, the use of apps sites also
has an impact on educational achievement among adolescents. This will cause them to ignore
the lessons because there was no time allotted for reviewing the ongoing studies. When an
examination marks obtained declined from the previous examination led them looking
mistakes that have been made to be corrected. Students are the backbone of the country's
excellence cannot be delivered due to a usage of public amusement. Therefore, the use of
these cause one to waste time.

The second negative effect of apps is the potential for dangerous when performing
another more important activity, such as driving. Apps should never be played while driving.
Some mobile games use the internet and have the ability to push information and notifications
to a player even when the player is not actively playing. The apps may send these alerts while
you were driving, and the you may not identify the alert's origin as being from a game, or be
tempted to check it anyways, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Many games have a
social aspect or rely on other players taking turns or participating in the game. In games like
this, it's common to have alerts and updates throughout the day about various things

happening in different games. It's also very tempting to take several minutes and quickly check
on a game, or make a quick move.

I personally agree that apps helps us in our lives such as parents rely on their tablets
when they want to introduce their children to the world of knowledge, virtual business empire
around the world, and save the cost of using your mobile phone credit or smart phones.
However, apps can also bring disadvantage if we misuse it. Because wastes time the use of
social networking sites and potential for dangerous when performing another more important
activity, such as driving. Application can very helpful in a way, drive us further from our true
passions. If apps are not useful to you, you must not have a phone, or you are incapable of
using one; apps are simply a shortcut to information that affects us every day. Especially to
students and students at the University. As an educated man, we need to be wise in evaluating
the good and bad in anything. Therefore, use common sense when using the technology
rather than mere lust.
