Your way into EFTA
We’re looking for cadets who have a burning ambition

then you don’t need any previous flying experience -

The English Language

The Foundation English courses are divided into two phases based on your proficiency level.
The duration for Phase 1 is four-and-a-half months, and Phase 2 is six months.

Aviation Sciences Programme
Over a period of 7 months, the Aviation Science course will introduce you to the
technical and theoretical aspects of aviation.

Just like the English Language Programme course, you’ll immerse yourself in 30 hours
of Aviation Sciences instruction every week. As well as using a variety of face-to-face
and computer-based instructional methods, there will also be some homework to
complete on weekends.

What
_ this course includes
Some of the subjects you’ll study will include
Meteorology, Principles of Flight, Navigation,
Flight Planning, Aircraft Performance and a few
more. There will also be site visits to places of
interest, such as the ATC Tower and the Engineering
Department. At the end of the course, you’ll
undertake a series of written and verbal tests to
assess your learning. If successful, you’ll move on to
the Ground School.

ATPL Integrated Programme
This programme consists of ATPL Ground School, Single-Engine flight training, Multi-
Engine Jet flight training, MCC and LOFT.

You’ll begin training for your Air Transport Pilot’s License at the Ground School. This
is an intense period of theoretical knowledge study, requiring you to pass 14 exams
that are overseen by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the UAE’s governing
aviation regulatory body.

Similar to previous courses, you’ll have to attend 30 hours of training every week, using
a variety of face-to-face and computer-based instructional methods – not to forget
additional homework.

Single-Engine Training
Your experience at the Flight School
starts with two weeks of classroom-based
instruction on the Cirrus SR22 G6 aircraft.
This is followed by more than 200 hours
of simulator and aircraft flying instruction
in the SR22 G6, culminating in your
undertaking the Commercial Pilots Licence
(CPL) flying skills test and Single Engine
Instrument Rating (SEIR) skills test.

What

During this period of training, which lasts approximately 7 months,
you will be instructed in:

• Flying the circuit pattern


• General handling (stalls, steep turns, climbing & descending, etc.)
• Visual navigation
• Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)
• Instrument flying, departure and approach procedures
• Airways procedures
• Instruments-only navigation
• Night flying
• Abnormal & emergency procedures

This tuition will equip you to pass your CPL/SEIR tests. Once you’ve earned this
qualification, you’ll proceed to more advanced flying training using a twin jet aircraft.

Twin Jet Training What
_ this course includes
The twin jet course starts with 3 weeks of ground

Multi-Crew
Cooperation Training
So far, all your flying training has been aimed at
teaching you how to fly single-engine and twin
jet aircraft as the ‘Pilot in Command’. In this next
phase, you’ll need to learn how to interact in a
multi-crew flight deck environment, enabling
you to assume the two distinct roles of Pilot
Flying (PF) and Pilot Monitoring (PM) covering
separate responsibilities each.
