3. Under the black, plastic plug is a tag with a string attached to electrical wires. Gently
pull the tag, string, and wire hamess out of the grinder polisher.

AutoMet• 2000 Power Head and EcoMet• Setup

a. Reach inside the post-rnounting hole and remove the blue plastic shipping tube.
b. Discard the shipping tube.

4. Visually inspect the AutoMet8 mounting rnost (see Figure 1).

5. Remove the screws and cover to the access hole near the top of the mounting post.

• The top of the mounting post has a permanent fixed rolled pin which the
AutoMet8 Power Head will eventually rest on.
• The access hole is used for electrical connections between the power head and
the grinder polisher.

13. Loosen the adjustable handle and swing the head to the left and right.
Nota: The AutoMf/A.• Power Head will not rotate more than one complete rotation
on the mounting post. The fixed rolled pin on the mounting post prohibits the
lead from swinging beyond one complete revolution. This ¡revents twisting
and damage to the electrical wires connected the AutoMef Power Head to
the grinder polisher.

14. Disconnect the string and tag frorn the grinder polisher wire hamess.

15. Connect the AutoMet• Power Head wires to the grinder polisher wires (see Figure

16. Once the connections are made, gently push the connectors back into the mounting
post and replace the access cover.

17. Once all connections are complete, check again that the r head rnoves freely
1 but will not rotate more than one complete revolution.

18. Reconnect the grinder polisher to the power supply. The AutoMel' Power Head is
now ready for operation.
Nota: lf installing an Ec:oM&t9 grinder _polisher simultaneously with the AutoMet• Power
Head, refer back to the EcoMer' grinder polisher instruction manual to complete
the grinder polisher inllallalion.
The grinder polisher must be aperational before operating the AutoMet• Power
