Research Proposal
I chose the topic of three dimensional printing and the effect that it is having on our
community based on the continous influence that I am seeing it have on the world and the
multitude of uses that it is being seen to have in a vast number of fields. Although there is a very
large population of people who are this as very positive for the world, there are also a number of
people who see this industry as a negative thing and feel that it will hurt the world more than it
will help. Based on this knowledge of both sides I decided that I wanted to learn more about this
industry to truly understand the way that these machines could be affecting our society in the
future. Another reason why I picked this topic is because I began to see the way that it could be
changing the medical field, specifically with organ transplants, and wanted to better understand
if it was safe and could truly help because if it could then it could end the organ donor problem
I personally feel that this industry is a very positive field for the future. I also feel that
based on the current test that it will be very beneficial in the medical field and feel that it should
be implemented as soon as possible in an effort to save as many lives as possible. Before the
research aspect I feel that this is a very safe industry with very minimal problems. I also feel that
it will definitely do more positive work for the world than it will do negative. I believe that this
will be removing some people with jobs but this is solely based on their lack of education which
they should be able to fix themselves if they truly want to stay in the same career field. I also

believe that this will be one of fastest growing industries over the next 20 years. I already knew
that three dimensional printing had a vast amount of uses over many work fields. I also knew that
I hope to learn in more depth the that this field will have on the future and the effect that
it will have on the future of our society. I also hope to learn the ways that the medical field could
