    As per IS 1888:

    Settlement of Footing, St = 5.76x { [3.4(0.3+0.3)] / [0.3(3.4+0.3)] } 2


    = 5.76 x {2.04/1.11} 2
    = 5.76 x 3.38
    = 19.46 mm
    Corresponding Settlement of Footing is 19.46mm (less than allowable settlement 25mm) for
    ultimate bearing capacity of 56.5 T/m2 (or 555.55 KN/m2)
    Consider Factor of safety 2.5, SBC = 56.5/2.5 = 22.6 T/m2 (or 222.22 KN/m2 )
